A bamboo walking stick sounds nice. Capped with steel on the ends for added weight and also stability.

Probably not legal in the land of fruits and nuts, but KC has the Cold Steel Heavy Duty Sword Cane on sale today. OTOH, it's probably legal carry here and my "inner 13 year old" is sorely tempted. :o :D
