Man, I gotta try a CRK.
I know a guy who only buys Medfords and CRK because they are so smooth.......
Yup, I'd like to try CRK as well as Grimsmo Norsemam.

This is my only really high-end knife so I can't make comparisons, but it's hard for me to imagine anything being smoother than this CRK after cleaning and lubing it for the first time. It is just like silk! You really need to give one a try MacLaren. I have a feeling you'd like it. :)

I was missing my Delica Pakkawood and came across this guy on BHQ. For $63, and never seeing a wood scale knife with black liners, hardware, pocket clip I just couldn't pass it up for that price. It's a nice knife, nothing amazing but also feels better than other knives I've had in the price range in the past. Also came with a lanyard, zip up carry case, microfiber cloth.

My first Inkosi. The detent was so stiff out of the box that I had to open it with two hands several dozen times before I could even open it with noticeable difficulty one-handed. If it doesn't improve over time, it will also be my last CRK. I guess the Sage 2 and Domino spoiled me regarding what to expect from a Ti framelock.

From what I understand, you just really need to give her some time to break in. Some Medford knives are like that. And, when they do, you'll be really glad you hung on to her.
But, then again, thats super tight......

keep at it. Very similar experiences are had by many first time CRK owners. I’ve found that I have to “re train” myself if I don’t carry one for a while. Even a well used 10 year old sebenza can be awkward when First coming back to it. I’m not a fan of the studs at all!

Edit* also watch fingers on the lock bar...

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I took it apart as I read from some forums that the grease may dry up if it has been sitting on the dealer shelf for a while. It has a DOB of August 2019 but I bought it only this month. I cleaned everything up and applied fresh grease, but it's still awkward to open. At least I can do it one-handed now.

I'll keep using it until it breaks in, or until my Spydies become jealous and demand more pocket time :)

That’s a solid recommendation. They are unique for sure. Elegance in simplicity. Enjoy it!

I feel it’s every knife enthusiasts duty to at least check out the big names. Sure, you can make the greatest, most solid folding knife in the world and its better than the sum of all its parts ... but you’re still gonna find me with a blade that has a hole in it, with a back lock and those wonderful serrations :D
