Did a little fishing today, bite was a bit slow but the ones that did bite were nice. Usually do fly fishing but in the fall local fish seem to like crankbaits, plus the wind was blowing about 20-30mph all day. Even with conventional tackle casting was a bit of a challenge.

A nice little knife from a custom maker……called the Little Pri(k
Great little knife that fits in a pocket well with a clip. Made in a variety of colours and usually sells out pretty

Small Sebenza during the days (not pictured) and small Inkosi in the evenings. My CRKs occasionally make me take a break from Spydies, and I'm in one of those cycles right now.

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
I finally got a Hogue Deka. The blade is excellent. The factory edge is great, and the action is good. The plastic handle, though, is no bueno. Compared to the CF Elite handled Bugout, the Deka's poly handle is flimsy, slippery, and not as comfortable IMHO.
One thing BM did is leave the liners exposed on the backside of the knife. The jimping there is perfect.
The Deka's handle doesn't allow for as high a grip.
Overall, it's a nice knife and probably going to be a great cutting tool. The value is definitely there. I hope to see a G10 Magnacut version some day soon.

This looks like a great knife! The Hogue Deka wasn't even on my radar before. When I think of Hogue, I tend to think all of their weird knife designs are unappealing, but it looks like I'm wrong and need to give them another chance. I have one of the M4 G10 Bugouts, and it's pretty nice, so I think I'd like the Deka too. I'll probably hold out for a G10 one though.riclaw wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 6:04 pmI finally got a Hogue Deka. The blade is excellent. The factory edge is great, and the action is good. Edit* - To stay on topic, I've been carrying my Benchmade Shootout ever since I got it a week or so again. Finally found something to kick my Creely Mako put of my pocket. The Mako is still better and will return to dominate my pocket soon, but I'm riding that new OTF high for another week or so.
One more Edit* - I have a Hogue Tomahawk that is bad to the bone.

Great pics and comparison. My love for the Bugout is the exact reason I've been tempted to buy one, and your post just cooled my interest... For now!riclaw wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 6:04 pmI finally got a Hogue Deka. The blade is excellent. The factory edge is great, and the action is good. The plastic handle, though, is no bueno.
