What "Other" is in your pocket???
Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
Well not actually in my pocket......my wife bought me a Shun paring knife for my birthday!
Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
I've been carrying this Crown Lifter a lot since it landed!
Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
Is that a 0.9 Pentel in your vest pocket, or are you just happy to see me?
Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
LOLZ!! ROTFL. :D :p
Good eye. P209.
Always my friend. Surprised there isn't a carpenter's pencil and a Pilot Razor Point there with it. Classics i've carried for a few decades now.

It’s my favorite. Used to prefer the 0.5; no longer! You must be up north. I haven’t worn long sleeves or pants in months, except to run the weed eater...
Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
Hah, me too. I used to prefer the .5 too. Now i only use the .9 for a mechanical. I just found an old .5 P205 and a bunch of lead-- which i can't imagine using anymore.Woodpuppy wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2020 8:20 pmIt’s my favorite. Used to prefer the 0.5; no longer! We have had some warmer weather. It touched 80 today in Seattle. We went out to our little rain forest cabin on the Sol Duc out on the Olympic Peninsula for the long weekend. Hadn't been since New Year's. We usually try to go every couple months at least. Half the time we had warm weather and then it turned cool and rainy and i even had the wood stove going during the day one or two of the days.
(The photo above is from ~10 years ago, others from the past weekend)
New saw excitement too!

Nice! Looks like a lovely place; looks like it needs the green beaten back often too! I’ve got the 450 Rancher. Been very pleased with performance with my Husqavarna tools; I never put ethanol blended fuels in them, only stabilized marine gas or the premix stuff off the shelf in the hardware store. I’m surprised they can stock and sell that inside? Anyway, great tools. They always start.

I’ve got more than a few hours on a 455 Rancher. Husky saws are great.

I’ve got a stihl ms250 that i like. It is light and powerful enough. The huskies do seem a little easier to start. We got a small huskie climbing saw recently. I’ll seenif I can get a pic. It’s awesome! It has a twelve inch bar and weighs 10 pounds.

Absolutely nothing wrong with Stihlbearfacedkiller wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 7:09 amI’ve got a stihl ms250 that i like. It is light and powerful enough. The huskies do seem a little easier to start. I've got a little ms170 that will cut like crazy
We had an 08S forever....couldn't tear it up if ya wanted to lol
But, those Husqvarna's especially the Pro saws, are just better imo. They flat out cut faster, have better antivibe, better air filtration. I've cut with a lot of each. Stihl recently though is catching up. They're copying Husqvarnas antivibe and some other things. The best thing that's happened to saws imo, is the auto tune ( husky ) or m-tronic ( stihl ) that is super nice. It automatically adjusts for elevation, ensuring the best mixture of oil and gas. Its awesome. Used to, you would have to tune your saw to keep from running too rich or too lean. Now ya don't.

One of my body techs brought his Jonsered in the shop last week for some maintenance, I've never personally seen one before, just heard of them. He said they were basically a balanced and blueprinted Husky, it definitely didn't sound like any chainsaw I've ever heard before!! Top fuel funny car of the chainsaw world!
