How easy is it to open with that thumb groove? Guess I'm really asking more about the geometry and thumb indexing than I am about how easy it is to actually open?

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
New knife day!! This just arrived, and I'm really psyched to try out Vanax SC. For those who don't know, this is the Quietcarry Drift in Vanax Superclean. For me it's like having an extra slicy, super wear resistant, rustproof, RIL Native 5. I've added pictures comparing it to the S90V CF Native 5, they are extremely similar in size and shape. The Drift weighs only .1 oz more thanks to heavy milling of the TI scales and the .083" blade. I'm looking forward to getting some carry time with this one!
P.S. : I think that I may chamfer the inside of the choil, especially the half out closest to the blade. I also forgot to mention that the Drift deploys super snappy with the thumbstuds while still being able to slow roll opening easily if desired.

Nice comparison, very slim knife! Not a bad Native you've got there as well

Thanks, yeah that Native is one of my favorite EDC knives! It's a keeper.
So it goes.

Welcome to the dark side. Are you thinking of starting with a Small or a Large? Can’t really go wrong with either.Spydergirl88 wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 7:42 pmI'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a CRK... Give me some advice

I'm right handed but there are so many CRK available in left hand... Do you think it even matters if I get a left hand model?

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
I would definitely get a right handed knife, especially if it is your first CRK.
So it goes.
Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
I have the small plain Inkosi and large carbon fiber Inkosi (Knifeart Exclusive). I really like them both but I'm waiting for the small 31 insingo to come out before I get my next CRK.
Are you thinking 21, 31, Inkosi, Mnandi? Drop point or insingo?

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
I would probably stick to a right hand. The Mnandi is small small, comparable to a smaller GEC. The small Inkosi is slightly smaller then a small Sebenza. I would start with a Small 21 or 31, and would lean towards an inlay on a Small just so it’s a little more hand filling..Spydergirl88 wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 8:00 pmI'm right handed but there are so many CRK available in left hand... Is the 31 better than the 21?

Design and lock wise, yes. But there has been a lot of complaints about it…I believe the iconic CRK is the 21, because it was one of Chris’s designs. The 31 is all Tim Reeve..

I suggest getting an inlay version of the Sebenza.Spydergirl88 wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 7:42 pmI'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a CRK... Give me some advice
Here are my thoughts on the 21 vs the 31 viewtopic.php?f=5&t=89107&start=60#p1504469
If you are looking for a small, KSF has a bunch of 21s and 31s with inlays. The micarta 31 would probably be my choice based on in hand feel.
Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
I think a small 21 or 31 would be great for you SG. I also have to recommend inlays as well, especially the micarta inlays...very nicely done and so comfortable.
