Atom again today.

I didn’t think I needed a mid sized native till I started carrying this. The Endela seems to be popular so maybe it could happen.

My only ask would be a thinner stock similar to the Atom (although changing to a liner lock just for the mid sized would be interesting)

Next to the shaman just because

I love my Atom. That pic really shows how similar it is to the Chief.

The Bugout with titanium scales (or even g10 or carbon fiber) is such a better knife than the Bugout with grivory scales, imo. You won't regret the extra cash for the upgraded scales.
You were both correct. It is very nice!

I really enjoy my Atom. But I'm still on the fence about the Newtron 2. I just ordered a set of contoured micarta scales for it, and I think that could be a game changer, though. It's almost too thin with the flat scales.

I do think the premium contoured scales help the 2 out a lot vs the flats. I hope they work out for you Julia! :)

Believe it or not, I actually prefer the OG Neutron vs. to the Neutron 2. The updated scale shape of the Newtron does add more of an index finger choil, which is nice, but not altogether necessary imo; the lack of that index choil area on the 1 actually fits my grip a little bit better because it fills in my hand near the index finger just a tiny bit more (I have pretty large hands, so any extra real estate usually helps me out grip-wise.. ymmv here..). Where the Original really shines over the 2 though.. in my opinon.. is the pocket clip placement. I find the OG ergonomics to be significantly better because the original pocket clip doesn't dig into my palm like the Newtron clip does.

The Newtron does have the cool pocketed scales and a deeper carry. I see why a lot of people prefer it, it's definitely still a nice knife. From a strictly comfort standpoint though, I prefer the Original and it seems to find its way into my pocket more than the 2.. :)

Image

Neutron 1 clip settles into the contour of my palm comfortably..
Image

Vs. Newtron pocket clip, which has an abrupt contact point at lower palm.
