Just got this one, it’s going back. Should of known better to spend $400 on a knife designed by Tony Bose and made by Case.
QC issue? Just curious. The bose series is usually made very well. I have 2 of the swing guard models and they're made very well. I got them for a very very good price though. No where near the original asking price.
I wanted that cattle knife or whatever its called but I didn't want to fork over $400 for something like that.
Super jealous over here, I wanted to get one but I didn’t realize it was one of those knives that’s only available for five minutes lol. Do you or anyone else know where I can get one for a reasonable price?
40 Spyderco knives in 11 different steels,
1 Byrd and 30 “others”

Yeah, unfortunately fit and finish is terrible and looks like whoever sharpened it, it was their first day on the job. I’m waiting to hear back from Case because I really like this **** knife.
Very cool, can't find one of these in stock anywhere!!!
I had notifications set for pretty much every place I could find that sells Giantmouse knives. Luckily I got one in time from BladeHQ - they've got text notifications, which work best for me.

I'm sorry, I don't. But I never saw them in stock from Giantmouse direct...maybe they will still pop up there. Hopefully they restock eveeywhere quickly.
I will say, after carrying it a few days, I do think this knife is gonna be worth the hype. It is gorgeous, and feels excellent in hand. The micarta is perfect, the fit and finish are top notch, and it's pretty slicey for the relatively beefy blade stock. My only complaints: the detent is on the weak side, and the jimping is too high up on the spine for my smaller hands. But neither is a big deal for me.
Good luck snagging one, guys!

Case warranty and repair fixed a knife that would rap against the spring when closing. I even had email communication with the guy in charge of W&R at the time. Hopefully they fix it. It's a really nice looking knife.

I’ll be keeping it, Case is going to fix the issues I raised, so I decided to fix the sharpening job myself and put my own edge on it tonight. Just a real bummer to have to send a brand new $400 plus knife in to be “finished”. I really do like this knife though. Fantastic. Will be my first and last Case Bose.
I'm trying out the Czech-made Mikov brand knives. I found a woodworking supply place here in the States had most of the catalog; and deeply discounted. I wasn't gonna pay MSRP for something I wasn't too familiar with the quality (especially when the SAK-types were about the same cost as Victorinox; and the Fixirs are more expensive than 111mm SAKs). I got a handful.
I decided to pack their Vic Deluxe Tinker clone and the three-blade model Fixir hunter. The Fixir--I bought the three blade and five blade. Quality was irregular. The five blade was stiff, and the gutting blade looked crooked in the frame. The three-blade was OK, so I toted it.Sheath belt loop (cut, not separate part) was barely big enough for my common-size two-inch belt. The saw doesn't cut as well as SAKs. The stag is a type of plastic, but to the undiscerning eye, it looks like stag. The SAK-type has tons of play in the layer with blades and Phillips. The pen blade wobbles especially bad. Sometimes, the main blade will strike the pen when closing. The steel is obviously softer, I could tell when the Phillips slightly chipped tightening a screw on the barn door latch this morning; and I know the torque I put would not have damaged a SAK. All I can say is--glad I did NOT pay full price for any of these (sale was 75% off).
Finally remembered to carry my case/bose swing guard today. A lot of thought went into this "traditional". It even has a bushing pivot and this is from 2007. The blade drops as soon as you press on the lockbar too. The ATS-34 blade holds a good edge so the heat treat seems like it was done right. I just wish the bone wasn't as polished. It would have looked better with a more matte finish with the brushed /satin bolsters and shield.
Here it is next to a police 4.
