You got one the few with a good piece of stag and the correct blade shape! Probably that last one that you can get on the primary market without “special” connections to a dealer. >:[

Nah i ebayed it so i could see exactly what I was getting scale-wise. I loathe GEC dealers, they are scum. "oh be in my little club and I'll maybe let you buy one at a $20 markup". At least the secondary market is upfront about their scumminess and provide pics of the exact knife you are getting.

Been loving my knives with micarta or titanium scales lately. Seemed appropriate to carry one with the best of both worlds for a few days.

Been carrying some old and new favorites from my Emerson collection off and on for the last month. The mini-15, mini-7, 7flipper, commander, and elvia.

The elvia has been my edc for the last week. I like it a lot.

Been experimenting with RGEI grip and Emersons wear that hat better than spyderco. The negative blade angle that Spydies have that I love in standard grip, make the knives very awkward and impractical for RGEI. The Shaman does pretty good though, and the P'kal of course.

I have what I call my seasonal Fall folder and pocket occasionally: a BM Rift Cutlery Shoppe exclusive with Orange / Black scales in CPM S30V steel . I need an Orange Spyderco to complete this process ! Ha ! MG2

Gotta say Josh, this Hardcore Hammer Survivalist Hatchett is very nice my man. She bites hard and deep. Just super nice. Sharpens up well too. I really love it.
We have 1 more camping trip left for the year.
That'll make 9 trips this year. I think that's pretty decent for first timers. Lol, the wife already has an eye on a 5th Wheel to upgrade to. Not sure about that.....anyways, here's a couple pics.

It really is an awesome little hatchet ain’t it Mac? I love mine. I’m biting the bullet this winter/spring, just going to get a trailer. I got to get the wife and boy out.

That's great man. I think yall will LOVE IT.
As for that 5th Wheel, I'm gonna try and just talk her into keeping what we got. The last thing I wanna do is get something more expensive and then be stuck with it. Which is a very realistic scenario.
I think you got the right idea by going light bro.
Imo, you really don't need anything that big. And, anything you get is gonna be very nice imo too.

Good for you Paul, that's some pretty good usage right there!

A 5th wheel is a BIG step up compared to a travel trailer. Not only in size, but also money, weight and areas to maintain. I know a few people that have them that wish they stuck with a simple tow behind. Others absolutely love them, but tend to live in them a couple months a year traveling to Nascar races.

Interested in what you...well, let's face it... your wife chooses brother!! :tonque-out
