If I were to be honest with myself, I could probably get by with just these Guardian 3's and sell all my folders!

Hmmm, I always heard huffing led to intelligent decisions haha!

Yes Darby, it's bit me pretty hard I must say! Next up will be some kind of Bark River, so many options out there.

It's definitely a two handed opener. Thumb studs are high and far so I just open it like my old Buck 110's.
I've never had good luck with thumb studs, either...gimme a Spydie-Hole instead! The dial intrigues me, and what material are the handles? If you don't have anything more important to do, I would like more pictures. DM or posting here are both okay with me.

Dan, you might want to track down a used Lionspy. It was a collab between Spyderco and Lion Steel and the knife was very similar to the one above, but with a proper opening hole!

If I can find one at a decent price, I'll grab it. Thanks for that suggestion!

Sorry couldn't get back to you until this morning. I took a pic with the SR1 that shows the size comparison with a Military and a PM2, also shows the lock bar dial. Totally thought it was “gimmicky” but tried it on a few things here this morning and it holds, works very well actually. Just a bonus really. If you want a video or more pics I will DM them to you, not a problem at all.

If it's no trouble, then I'd like more. Thank you very much!

My folders are grouped into: Spydies, traditionals, Swiss Army knives, and "others." Below is one of two "others," an HK I picked up about five years ago when I decided EDC of a fixed-blade wasn't the best of ideas (bit of a story there). I don't know much about it other than it seems to be out of production and it's a PITA to open with the thumb studs.

Not letting me add the pics to a pm so have to do them here. I don't want to keep jamming up this thread with anymore pics so hope this shows what your looking for.

Ruh roh!

So if you're thinking about spending BRK kinda money, look into TRC Knives, too. The K-1s is seriously awesome, and a good smaller belt knife size. Looks like it's OOS at DLT now, but i bet they'll get more soon.
