For your traditionals, do you want them to wear over time and get scuffs and whatnot on the bolsters? Or will you polish them (and maybe the covers)? I know lots of people like a little wear on their knives, but a well done traditional looks much nicer out of the box than most of the modern knives I see on the internet.

I like the scratches on shiny bolsters that I impart. I hate buying a brand new traditional and unboxing it only to see its scratched from the factory... GEC is really bad about this.p_atrick wrote: ↑Sun Dec 13, 2020 10:41 amFor your traditionals, do you want them to wear over time and get scuffs and whatnot on the bolsters? I'm definitely going to need to thin the edge, but I like how this knife handles. Probably going to order a second at the price they're going for.
Used it to pry apart some fatwood, baton it down to size, then start a fire.
I like the handle. Grippy without feeling abrasive.

The scale color is kinda ugly, and of course I prefer a spydie hole to a thumb disc, but man, this is one sexy knife! My first ZT.

Is that the full size or the 5" version?vivi wrote: ↑Sun Dec 13, 2020 5:10 pmI'm definitely going to need to thin the edge, but I like how this knife handles. Probably going to order a second at the price they're going for.

Any problems with your sheath? I read a review that the retention was a bit loose on the 5". Looks like a great all-around beater, though. I like the 5" size, and I definitely like the price tag.

Retention is good enough I thought about cutting off the fabric snap. I'm probably going to take that whole piece off this one and setup a g clip, then keep the other sheath factory, so I have one that rides high and one that rides low.

Yep, I've got other overlays coming someday from suingab. I'm gonna reshape the clip a bit, too. I love yours - it looks perfect!abbazaba wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 10:44 pmI'm a big fan after a few modifications :D

Very nice! That’s how the knife should come. Has a bit of a McHenry Williams vibe to it. Needs a thumb hole tooabbazaba wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 10:44 pmI'm a big fan after a few modifications :D
