I'm kinda jealous of you Darby. Looks like fun. :D
I am glad though that it's warm and green out here in MO.
Very nice knives!

Jesse designs a good working blade! I had the Choppa with custom scales for a while. ..really liked it.

It does seem like a solid design. I am gonna use it as a camp/woods knife. It is a size I like.Extra330SC wrote: ↑Thu Apr 04, 2019 10:55 pmJesse designs a good working blade! I had the Choppa with custom scales for a while. ..really liked it.

The Choppa is on my radar. What can you tell me about it?

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
The saber ground blade really bit well into material....more so then my BK9 and Ontario RTAK 2. The first trip out I realized the handle was not good for hard chopping (one of its intended purpose ) because of the smaller handle with a horrible rear section where your hand normally slides for more momentum /power!bearfacedkiller wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2019 10:27 amIt does seem like a solid design. I sent the knife to Kevin @ GKC Outfitters to use as a template for custom Micarta scales...which he hadn't made yet for the Choppa. The new micarta slabs eliminated the slick grip and "softened " the hotspot on the rear section of the scales, But not enough for me to keep the knife. I traded the Choppa (with leather scout carry sheath ) for a Para3 52100 CF!
I would probably revisit the Choppa if The Knife Connection ever comes out with custom G10 scales..... the blade is that good! I have TKC scales for my ESEE 6, BK5 / BK9 , and RTAK 2 which absolutely makes each knife better IMHO.
Hope this helps
