It's shocking how many multitools miss the mark when it comes to useful screwdrivers.

I definitely prefer the old Leatherman Wave to the new, because of this.

Yeah the eyeglass screwdriver thing is a complete waste for me.

The larger bit drivers has useful sized bits, but it forces me to carry around extra bits to get the same selection of drivers as the Rebar, that weighs 2oz less than a wave before adding any extra bits to my EDC. Plus I'm not going to EDC some screwdriver bits if I'm carrying the Wave clipped as opposed to using a sheath. On top of all that the bit driver bits have weaker steel and less reach than the drivers on my Rebar.

I do really like the clip, one handed blades, diamond coated file, and the way they jimped the spine of the SE blade so you can tell which blade you're opening by feel. But man the selection of interal tools on the Wave is so bad. No Awl, the two big flat heads are way too close in size, and I hate how you have to open the scissors up all the way to close them.

Every multitool ends up being a compromise in some way. Might have to look into modding my Wave down the road. At the very least I plan to grind the precision flat head bit into a needle point to get some awl-like functionality, but I'd like to swap a new tool in its place.
I actually love the eyeglass driver! Both my kids wear glasses as does my wife, and I just got a pair too so I like having that just in case. I’ve used it a few times for glasses and other things. For me the small bit system Leatherman uses works great on a multitool. Any bigger job gets the toolbox. I’ve got a Charge Tti and Mut. The mut has built in storage and a couple longer bits. On my Charge I took a special Phillips/Robertson combo bit and ground it down to fit. That and the flatheads it has already cover just about any handyman tasks I use it for.
I also have a juice that goes in a leather backpocket sheath along with my flashlight and pen. The small flathead on it is just small enough for glasses.
I do agree that multitools are always a compromise but between Leatherman and Victorinox, I think most ppl are covered pretty well. Lots of choices. What I would love to see from either/both would be a custom builder program so you could get just what you want without the stuff you don’t. Personally I have little to no use for a blade on my multitool as I always have a dedicated knife on me anyway, (usually Spyderco).
If you're wielding the sharpest tool in the shed, who's going to say that you aren't...?

Thanks Ken, went for a walk today with my son looking for a new spot to fish for winter steelhead. Have you tried the Keen yet? It really has been surprising me lately, but it will never kick my CRK or Hinderer out of my pocket. It is a very **** nice knife for being Made in China, made me break my cardinal sin LOL

No I haven't, my Shiro 95T, or Neon Lite spend the bulk of the time in my pocket. I have two CRK knives that just sit in a box, I'm not happy with the action at all. I've never carried either one.

Do any of you guys happen to own, or have owned any of the "WE knife company" knives?? I've recently been looking at the Wisp, something about it appeals to me and am tempted to give it a try. That thin blade stock looks sooooo slicey. I don't typically spend over $200 on a folder, so I'm a bit hesitant!

I have two knives from Massdrop that were made by WE. That Wisp looks nice but I'm not sure I'd be willing to pay that much considering what I paid for my Gents and Keen. I'm sure the Wisp is well worth it but I'm so happy with my $80 Gent that I couldn't see spending 3 times more for the Wisp.
