Cool idea for modders or Sal

#1

Post by tonydahose »

My wife has been bugging me for xmas ideas so i started looking thru online gifts guides and i came across this. http://shop.coolmaterial.com/products/knife-cufflinks" target="_blank

Well the spyderco bug popped into my mind right away. If you drilled a recessed hole in one of the handles you could easily mod this or even somethng Sal might make for himself. I would make some if i ever wore cuff links. If i dont come back before the holidays everyone have a Merry Christmas.

Tony!

Where have you been, my friend? It's been a coon's age since I've seen you here. Hope all is well.

As for the knife cufflinks--that's a pretty cool idea. I think this could be easily done with the Bugs. Would be awesome to see a proto of this.

Take care, bud

I thought Spyderco Cufflinks already existed, though I may be mistaken. Functional examples would be much cooler though!

A pair of those small strong magnets would suffice...niobium and suchlike?
Yeah, I know, the magnets are something to lose etc, but easy to make...

I almost wanna buy those and wear them on a plane just to see what kind of trouble I can get into for such a teeny little blade.

haha...same old jokesters :) First off, no I haven't sold off my spydies, and never my enduras. I just have replaced buying new :spyder:s with buying things that go bang. Now as far as the cufflinks go, if anybody has a donor pair and some bugs I'd be happy to try and mate them. I figure to have the bug tapped for a screw you would need to have done that pre-assembly. I would probably just drill a hole in one side of the bug for a pin, same thing on the cufflink shaft. 2 ton epoxy and it should be good to go.

Hey, Tony! Good to hear from you, Man!

I like the idea of the epoxy and a pair of cheap cufflinks. Getting into Federal buildings could be fun!
