Seafood, seafood, SEAFOOD (drool warning)

#1

Post by xceptnl »

Though not all of these meals are of my own creation, I wanted to share the wealth of joy my taste-buds and stomach have been enjoying for the last few days.

Shrimp N Scallops with cream cheese grits topped with bacon and scallions (my creation).

Sesame seared yellow-fin tuna with sweet soy drizzle, garnished with wonton strips and served over jasmine rice and seasoned black beans, searved with a "Dark N Stormy" in the true Mad Rookie spirit. (Local dive here in SOBX).
Image

Fried Flounder sandwich that literally was an entire flounder. I have never seen a sandwich needing more bun in my life. My father-in-law was seriously enjoying it (another local dive in SOBX)

Blackened yellow-fin tuna tacos topped with all the extras. Fresh off of the boat and washed down with some 1554 Black Lager (same dive as the flounder sandwich).

What is a good remedy for heartburn? I have tried Rolaids and Tums, they work at times. Also Pepto Bismol. Any others? I tried charcoal capsules and those work to relieve gas.

I take Nexium 40 mg by mouth daily in the AM for my GI discomfort and it works beautifully. :) Dexilant is also very good, but a bit more costly depending on your insurance provider. Beyond that, I like to use Pepcid AC PRN (as needed) for any occasional discomfort. Seems to work pretty well.

Ah, where are my manners? :o That seafood looks spectacular, Landon. Glad you could share that with your father-in-law too. I'll bet that meant a lot to him. :)
