Hmm. Your signature should show up, regardless of the age of the post. There is a small check box on the bottom left corner of the "Reply to thread" box. I believe you need to check this box in order to habe your signature show.

When you first post, the HTML to retrieve and display your signature is only created if you have a signature and have it enabled. Once a post is made, that HTML will not be added if you decide to add a signature or enable one that had been disabled.
