What kind of wallet do you carry?

Postby Gunslinger » Sat Mar 15, 2014 2:52 am

I just bought a Maxpedition Spartan in foliage green. Great wallet so far, although the velcro will take some getting used to.

I'm curious to what kind of wallets do you guys carry.

Prob in this day and age I should have one with theft-blocking plates in it. Still, I use a County Comm L.A. wallet which holds a couple cards, my ID, and a little cash. It's no thicker than 3mm.

Here's what I currently carry: https://www.dynomighty.com/shop/Explorer-Mighty-Wallet

It's nothing fancy or expensive, but I've received numerous compliments on this wallet over the years. It's also very lightweight and thin, which make carrying it a lot more comfortable than my old leather wallets.

I have this over 10 years. Small thin leather designed from Lodis, with money magnet leather clip. Has pocket to slid about 5-7 cards, and the other outside has a three slots for 3 cards.

Saddleback bifold. The old style with the cc slots. Not sure why they discontinued that style.

I don't carry a wallet, I carry a Spyderco Cricket as a money clip and I try to keep my carry (what is in it) light.

My old wallet was getting pretty worn so, when I got my CCW back in December, I decided to get one with two "windows" and settled on LL Bean's waxed canvas Maine Guide wallet.

Been carrying a Fossil bifold front pocket wallet with money clip for a few years now. Had back pain from sitting on a wallet while driving as much as I was having to.

I have one of these, in Coffee brown. Excellent quality. I just couldn't adapt to having to fold every bill, every time I needed one.

I see LC Kid solves that with a money clip. I'm already carrying two wallets though, and often pocket carry a gun, so a third "wallet" is just not an option.

I ordered the ID wallet to replace an all leather Filson Outfitter, Image

which was a great functioning wallet, until the stitching came undone on the edging. (not my photo.)

-And it was twice the price of what I ordered next...

a Saddleback medium bifold in the dark coffee brown. (also, not my photo.)

So far, this has been much better for me.

None if I have a major brain fart moment and all m things are in a wallet its a major pita - new license , cards and lost cash .
A money clip for the paper and cards sit in the pocket , never enough paper to justify getting me a halfway decent clip yet though ;) .

Civilian Labs Belt Clip wallet in Kevlar. I mainly got it for the belt clip as my pockets are always full.

I carry an old Harley Davidson tri-fold chain wallet that my oldest brother gave me probably 10 years ago. I'm not really a Harley kind of guy, but this wallet has a lot of sentimental value, and the **** thing is so well built that it will probably live longer than I do. I've taken the chain off, but still have.
