Thank you very much for this birthday thread! It was a good day with lots of family time with my beautiful wife and three young boys. My favorite pizza for lunch and a very nice steak for dinner at Carrabba's (Filet Marsala). We visited with my mother and brother for lunch and went to dinner with some good friends from church.
There was a dessert called Brownie Pudding which is a favorite from my childhood, and Sogno Di Cioccolata "Chocolate Dream". If there had been a "birthday cake" it would have been a spice cake with cream cheese frosting.
No knives gifted to me this birthday, but I carried my EDC system of Spyderco knives/products and added some extras for meals and conversation. This is what I had with me: S90V Military PE, Forum Native S110V PE, Spyderhawk Salt SE, Mariner SE, Native Lightweight S30V SE, Endura Lightweight ZDP 189 PE, Delica Brown FRN PE, 2 Delica Lightweight SE with molded clips, Dragonfly Lightweight ZDP 189 PE, Dragonfly lightweight VG-10 PE Molded clip, Cricket SS VG-10 SE, Cricket Nishijin Glass Fiber VG-10 PE, Man bug VG-10 PE, Tenacious G10 8Cr13MoV PE and a Bushcraft Factory 2nd O1 PE. I also had a medium pocket sharpening stone from Spyderco, however everything was already sharp to start the day.
Yes, I have lots of pockets and yes I wear a belt. :)
There are a few models I have my eye on for 2014 to be added to my personal collection.
Again, it was very kind of you to start this thread. I do appreciate the sentiment! I love Spyderco and this forum.
Cheers!
Sincerely,
Doug
