Neat little piece Ken, but I'll concede that, unlike my S&W's, I probably couldn't hit much of anything with it. :o I'm darn sure I couldn't with its hundred year old predecessor...
...a Baby Hammerless Model 1910 in .22 Short. Heck, I'm not even sure I'd trust the cylinder not to split if I tried to shoot it with modern ammo.

I personally finished the stock on this one. I applied more than 25 coats of lacquer, but probably sanded off 20+. I have an aftermarket receiver, bolt, charging handle, trigger assembly that I need to put into this stock so I can put my Sporter back together. It will shoot 5/8" to 9/16" groups (3 and sometimes 5 shot) at 100yds. very consistently.

I guess real men back in the day didn't need no stinkin' trigger guard, but maybe they never pocketed/holstered their guns. :rolleyes:The Deacon wrote:...a Baby Hammerless Model 1910 in .22 Short. Heck, I'm not even sure I'd trust the cylinder not to split if I tried to shoot it with modern ammo.

FWIW, in case you've never seen a Baby Hammerless with the trigger folded forward for safe carry, here's a shot...wrdwrght wrote:I guess real men back in the day didn't need no stinkin' trigger guard, but maybe they never pocketed/holstered their guns.
...and, while it's the "mother of all mouse pistols", I'd feel perfectly comfortable carrying mine that way in a bespoke holster.

With your demo, Paul, I need not fret how my grandfathers and great-grandfathers survived as long as they did... Thanks. The Deacon wrote:FWIW, in case you've never seen a Baby Hammerless with the trigger folded forward for safe carry, here's a shot.

My custom 870. It is very much different from when I got it. I replaced the barrel with an 18 inch wearing a plain bead sight. I also replaced the trigger group and duracoated it combat green with black accents. It is wearing a standard LOP Remington stock with an Allen Stock cartridge sleeve, and Allen Comfort sling, a Mesa Tactical 6 round side saddle, Mako rail forend, Streamlight Polytac light with weaver mount, and a Magpul handstop. It has a capacity of 4+1, and a 3 inch chamber. I have probably put somewhere around 3,000-4,000 rounds through it. Its most certainly my favorite long gun.

Been looking at some screws and a pair of their G10 Grenade grips in Tan.Gunslinger wrote:VZ makes some nice g10 grips. When it comes to wood grips I go with Raasco, If I want G10 I go with VZ. Also VZ has awesome grip screws.

That's a great piece. I had a two tone model with no rail. Thing shoots like a dream. Ending up selling it, but it was awesome. Sig makes some of the best firearms I have ever had the pleasure of shooting. I have no doubt you'll love it.
