I want to wish Brother "4ster" a very Happy Birthday today. He was here when I arrived about 9 years ago>> Oh how time flys>> His input to the Forum has always been great and objective.

I hope that a new Hawkbill and a new fixed blade Spyder find their way to you my friend. Take the day off and enjoy

Thanks for remembering Tony and thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes!!

Chuckd - yes, I was/am a Forester. I retired years ago after a career working for the Provincial government in Forest Management.

JD - time does fly. My first post here was in 2001. I have a couple of :spyder: s I'm waiting on, but unfortunately none today. I did get the Forum Native a few weeks ago.

Thanks again!
David

Excellent! I finished my degree in forestry in december here in California and am getting into the ol work force in the redwood forests of mendocino. Gotta love a job that gets you walking around the woods all day every day, and not to mention the need for a couple knives.

A Belated Happy Birthday David. To many more.
I used to be a forester myself when I was in my twenties... It was a tough job in a harsh environment, but it had its bright sides :)
