Cuscadi handles - issue

#1

Post by doctorknife »

Hey spyderco manics ;) I think i've got a situation here, i hope not. I've recently ordered 3 pairs of custom handles from the Cuscadi.de website for my Matriarch, Endura and ZT 0350. I've sent the payment right away, this happened on April 19th. First I've contacted this guy on the email, like 5 times and I got no answer. I tried on facebook, he replied a few days later, said he didn't receive my payment. I've sent him a screenshot on the paypal transaction. He said sorry my bad. Since it's been a while, I've asked him for a deadline, approximately at least . My handles should have been shipped last week, I got no answer from this man. He only said he couldn't send them because he had "FAMILY AFFAIR". Before that i remember he had another excuse, he had to go to school ???.What the **** is family affair and how should I care about his school lessons? I'm now starting to worry. I've paid 3 times 90 EUR which is $350 total. How long did it took for you to get your handles? My knives are all dissasembled and waiting. Thanks :(

Luke has always been very easy to deal with, professional, and quick to respond to my queries. My guess is that if he is having non-work issues, it may be affecting his communications and delivery. He's got a good track record with a large base of customers, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. I'm not trying to make excuses for Luke - but I wouldn't worry about getting your money back. He's probably just dealing with some unexpected family stuff (we've all been there at some point)...

Cheers!

I don't want a refund yet, I really like the handles they are awesome. It's just I'm worried that I'll be ripped off and I won't get anything, or I'll have to wait two or three more months. But If you already had a business with him I'll trust you and I will wait.

Admittedly, I have very limited experience with Cuscadi scales, having only ordered 1 set.. for a PM2.
However, he was nothing but up-front and professional with me, and the scales arrived quickly, and as promised.
Maybe he just has something going-on that prevents such quick service?
Not to mention, if the scales have been shipped, they could be stuck in customs..
I say give the dude a little more time.

Here's mine: (couldn't resist :D )

I didn't give him an address , and may be he thinks because I'm from Bulgaria he doesn't have to treat me like he treats you guys from the US ;) Make any sense ?

I understand why you could be worried. I would be. I had to get a refund from a seller on eBay once and got it easily due to their policy. But you don't have that with individuals. By what the others said you will get your scales. Don't forget to post pictures when you get them, off and then on your knife. :)

I am very sorry to hear about your trouble. I have only positive experience with Luke. I really hope that you will receive your scales soon.

We've spoken a bit, I think he doesn't lie now, he said he had some trouble with his family, his mother was sick in a hospital, and stuff like that. He had sent me some progress pics, and from my side I'll give him more time. **** happens to everyone so as long as I trust his story... I'm cool.

I will take some cool photos of all my stuff then, can't wait man, oh yeah. Spyderco , brother :D

Looks great, glad to hear it turned out well. How were the gummy bears? :)

Cuscadi shipped very fast to me, but I think my products were already made and ready to ship. I imagine if he has the stuff sitting on the shelf, you'll get them much faster than if he has to make them.

Send him a message on his facebook page, you'll get a response much faster than the email. And send another yeah.

What was the point of the candys? I didn't noticed them right away, I was too busy looking at the handles :D

Nice! That waved Matriarch with new scales is sweeeeet! I want to do something with mine, maybe one side something exotic and one side an extra handle slab with some modifications..
