I am aware if I ask you what is your favorite knife brand here, well you would probably say spyderco, but what is your next favorite knife manufacture if you excluded spyderco.

I like some of the Mcusta and Al Mar designs. I like the ZT 0561 but not for the price they're asking.

That's a tough one. I own 18 knives so not a lot by this forums standards but I guess the ratio is what I am getting at, one is an Emerson, one is a ZT, One Boker, One CRK, one Benchmade, one old Gerber one SAK and 11 Spyderco's. Thank God I don't like the other brands as much as Spyderco or I would have to find a part time job.

That said I might by another Sebenza I have a small inlay and I would like a large Micarta Insingo, so that would make 2 of another brand which would launch CRK into the number 2 position.

For me BM is second, but it isn't even in the same category as my favorite brand

I'd have to say I like my little Lon Humphrey fixed blade, but BM is probably after that. Nothing really compares to Spyderco though. Then comes Rat for good value.

I'd like to try one of Dan Koster's Kardas, but haven't scraped the funds together.

I have an ESEE Izula II that is a little beast of a fixed blade. I might find myself with another ESEE in the future.

I like ZT, mainly their collabs with Rick Hinderer, and Bark River for my fixed blades.

I am not aware of any either. Now I have some old cutting stick things
that had the word knife on the package when I bought them years ago,
but I am at the point now that if it doesn's have a Spyderhole, then I
am not interested.

In production knives I think is a three-way tie between BM/Bradley, Kershaw/ZT and Fällkniven... but I also love many others from different brands.

Not a fixed blade fan. I just bought a Gerber brush cutting machete to whack brush on the farm,
but only carry it when I am setting out to do that chore. A fixed blade seems to get in the way
to me at times.

But ht emain thing to me is the discretion issue. I don't like for anyone to necessarily know that
I have a knife. Obviously if they see one clipped to a pocket they can tell, but I also cover my
pocket with a shirt. I carry a gun and no one knows that either..... just me.

Sure, I was just kidding... in my country you better be discrete with knives, that's why I usually don't carry clipped. Not all the fixed blades have to be impossible to conceal but I know what you mean.
