Ha! Good point, Ken. I've been married 25 years and this is one of those areas that I've learned to be stealthy about.kbuzbee wrote:HER kitchen knives? What do you mean HER kitchen knives? OUR kitchen knives are MY kitchen knives... I use them. I clean them. I store them. And I sharpen them.....
Seriously, you need to have a talk, brother....
Ken
Every single kitchen knife we have I've purchased and maintained. To keep the peace, I give her the illusion that the kitchen is "her zone" so that she gives me similar latitude in the garage and workshop - those areas are "mine!"

She has her shoes, I have my knives, as long as the bills are paid at the end of the month, we are good... Every once in a while she gets a pink knife and that seems to keep her happy.

The things that may or may not be true are the things a man needs to believe in the most. People are good; honor, courage, virtue mean everything; power and money mean nothing; good always triumphs over evil; true love never dies. A man should believe in those things, because they are worth believing in.

I keep a separate knife fund, stay out of the household funds, and save up for what I want. Knife fund gets funded from B-day $$, selling knives, other stuff, etc. She is actually somewhat excited for me when I get something new. Happy happy happy!
