A Loyal Dog is a gift from HEAVEN

There were 2 great dogs in my life that I still dearly miss. One was an Irish Setter ( big headed, hunter variety) and his name was LEO. He truly was one of the very best friends I ever had in my life. Another one was a blue blood German Shepherd named ANDY. I cried for about 2 to 3 days upon both of them dying and I still grieve over it at times.

A lot of people just don't understand the great relationship you can have with a very loyal dog.

I will keep you in my prayers and I hope you find another great dog soon. The love and loyalty of a great dog is truly something special. And Yes believe me I do understand your loss. GOD BLESS you and YOURS

All I can say is that I sympathize and that there are lots of awesome dogs out there who need decent people to spend time with. Sorry for your loss. :(

I am very sorry for your loss. I have a lab-setter mix who is getting older and starting to slow down, and I am trying not to think about that day. I know I will be devastated.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Dozer was, in a way, part of this forum with all the pics you posted of him as a pup. He was a wonderful companion.

I want to thank you all for all the kind words. Its good to know there are so many that understand the bond we develope with our dogs. Our house is so quiet now without him, he truly was the comedian of the bunch. I miss him dearly.
