Have some news

#1

Post by jeep45238 »

Well, on January 19th, 2012 I was in Columbus, OH. I took an amazing oath to defend our nation's constitution that day, and neared the end of my pursuit to service with the strongest Air Force in the world.

It is an incredibly humbling experiance, and chills literally sent down my spine and legs in the process. Reciting the Airman's Creed sends the same chills every time too.

Today I found out that I booked a job, 1N031 - operations intelligence. I begin basic military training on July 3rd, rather fitting to be starting basic practically on Independence Day.

Just thought I'd share.

Thanks for serving. Stay safe.

The things that may or may not be true are the things a man needs to believe in the most. People are good; honor, courage, virtue mean everything; power and money mean nothing; good always triumphs over evil; true love never dies. A man should believe in those things, because they are worth believing in.

Thank you and cherish your time in uniform. It can build some of the best memories of your life. I'm glad you got chills reciting your creed...it means you understood and appreciate the words you were speaking. Keep that feeling everyday you put on that uniform and know that your country is proud of you.
My Nephew started his first day of Army boot camp today and i'm proud of him too.
