Currently I'm going trough most of Bowie's Discography... again. Completely rediscovering Ziggy for what seems like the 6th or 7th time in 3 decades, bathing in the sounds of Low and "Heroes" and appreciating how great he was even throughout the 80ies, 90ies and 00es. What a Singer, what a Musician and what a Songwriter - and what a loss.
Lou Reed gone, David Bowie gone... but the third of the trinity, Iggy Pop has a new album out, which, after hearing it 2-3 times I very highly recommend.
What else? Pearl Jam, Chili Peppers, R.E.M., Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia - "Garcia plays Dylan" is one of my all-time favourites. Vasco Rossi, Italy's only true Rockstar.
A triptychon of bluesy-rockin' dames: Joanna Connor, Sue Foley, Susan Tedeschi. And the men: BB King, Muddy Waters, Son Seals.
The Jets'n'Guns Soundtrack by Machinae Supremacy is one of the craziest, funniest albums ever. Speaking of crazy and funny, The Wangs. And since we're mentioning Surf Music, The Beach Boys. Really! (BTW the only music that would make my little daughter sleep when she was under a year.)
And, believe it or not, Opera. La Bohème at maximum volume :-)
OK, that's probably enough for now, although I'm sure I forgot a bunch of stuff (the whole Krautrock shebang for example)...

Listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd - Second Helping right now. Have been listening to lots of old Phish shows too lately, circa 1990. And just went through a phase of listening to a lot of speed/thrash metal.

Lately, I've been listening to weird stuff, like Space Oddity (David Bowie) and Sylvia's Mother (Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show).

Saw them live about a year ago, I was a little let down. But they also had Fear Factory open for then which made no sense to me, CC sounded like they were in slow motion with the volume turned down after FF.
