Great pick ! Love Van Morrison , one artist that I never got to see in the day . Moondance album is one of my all time favorite albums , a masterpiece.
Thanks Dan. I never seem to get tired of his music . I can't say that about a lot of the music I heard so many times over the years that I stopped liking it. I never listen to Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd anymore for instance. I hope I never stop liking Van Morrison.

That's incredible!! I distinctly remember that album being released in the early 70s. I think it was either 70 or 71 when that album hit all our local record stores. It was about the same time when Elton John put out his first album. I was in high school then but I do remember when they were released.

From the early to mid 70s there were so many groups and albums that hit the ground running in that era.

Cat Stevens accumulated 40 songs while being treated for TB . Once he got out he went to another label and in a short time three albums were released . Those three albums to me were all epic accomplishments. I always liked his voice and bare background sound . MG2

I remember that album. Either my older brother or sister had it. The music was a BIG part of what made growing up in the '60s and '70s such a great time.

Great one Jim. I have seen a bunch of USC Song Girl performances to Tusk over the years too. If I don't enjoy that I'll know I'm a walking dead guy. :)

Van Morrison

Thanks for posting that, Joe. Here's another great Van Morrison Song. Almost hard to believe they're more than half a century old.

Sorry just woke up but got a call about Jeff Beck last night. Great guitarist. Funny story , two brothers I were good friends with came back from spending the summer in California in the 60’s.They took me into the stereo room and sat in a bean bag and put headphones on me telling me this guy is going to be a legend . That’s when I heard the intro to Purple Haze and I was hooked . They got to see him play at the Fillmore and said the place went totally nuts .

Never heard of him before. He has some talent. It's not the sort of music that will find its way into my playlist, but I listened to him nevertheless.

He was a local busker! His own material is pretty intense stuff, and also not usually my taste, by I find his storytelling compelling.
