I feel you Jim, I only know a handful of people that like my musical tastes. Which, I guess I can understand haha! But, I've always loved coming across another metal head. I was lucky to have 2 teammates I played high school football with that liked it too, so we warmed up together!

Nice to have you join us! Not many of us around here, but we throw it out there from time to time. Please feel free to contribute!

This song, from about the 2:00 mark on...not many songs can bring me to this level of energy. Incredible song for maxing out a workout. Tim's vocals are right up there for me, along with Mitch Lucker from Suicide Silence. Those dudes are/were incredible.

Thanks! Suicide silence is a bit much for my tastes tbh, could never get into that kind of music. I take it from your avatar that you are a Slaughter to Prevail fan?

Listening to it now definitely brings back that feeling of being back in the '70s again, Dan. Moreso than some of the '70s songs that were overplayed on the radio over the decades.

👍🏻 Many thanks for posting about that, Dan! I hadn’t heard Sting’s cover of that song (nor even that album) before. I listened to it on YouTube, and yes,it IS beautiful!

Thank you , I try to think of songs that may be of interest for you and others . I never thought I would ever hear a cover of the song that could compare to Jimi , but Sting nailed it . Dan

It's always appreciated. Dan, your taste in music and mine seem to share a lot in common.

I don't know why, but I often overlook this song when I think about Queen's best songs, even though it's among my favorites of their songs.

Tedeschi/Trucks just released the 4th and last CD of their 'I am the Moon' set. More of Susan's sweet vocals, and Derek's superlative slide guitar is a living, breathing thing.

The only metal band I'm really into is Judas Priest, but you young'uns wouldn't count that.

This song never fails when I need to kick a workout into the next gear. This drummer just beats the crap out of those things!
