I've been listening to one song on and off over and over all day, Animals As Leaders "CAFO". The low end in this song is ridiculous.

Here's the video/studio version
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmfzWpp0hMc

But you can't really hear the low end as well, so here's a guitar clinic with Tosin playing only his part over a recording of the rest...@1:01, and don't even get me started on what happens @1:22..

Man, you got good taste! I've got Trace Adkins on my headphones right now. You like Brad Paisley?

- best wishes, Jazz.

1623 - I'm a huge Brubeck fan as well. Have you ever hear the album "Jazz Goes to College"? It was recorded live on their spring 1954 tour. There is a version of "Le Souk" on there that is simply mind-blowing.

Thanks for the video!

You're very welcome Ted.

I was not aware of that record but I will certainly seek it out, thank you for sharing.

The Brubeck quartet is superb and truth be told I became a fan because of Joe Morello; he is one of my absolute favorite Drummers. I'm completely enthralled each and every time I watch and listen to his playing...he is dearly missed.

Not bad but he lost me with the clean vocals...not many bands can do that and keep my attention. The music was great though.

The last album i bought was Oceano - Depths. Shortly before that i bought Circle Of Contempt - Artifacts In Motion....VERY good album, definitely recommend it if you're into heavy stuff.

Hey guys.
I'd like to thank david and razorsharp for turning me onto animals as leaders and vildhjarta.
All i can say is wow!
I had heard of aal before, but never heard any of their music. That tune just blew me away!
Amazing guitar work.
The vildhjarta song was great too. I love the hard vocals, but the clean vocals and melody is a nice contrast.
Also, thanks to 1623 for the brubeck tune. I learned that on the guitar many moons ago, but hadn't heard it in years.
I was able to pick it right back up amazingly....ha!
Thanks to you guys for the old and new!
Later,
Don

The intricacies of classical music are never lost on me. Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Vivaldi, Stravinsky Bruckner..etc. are well worth listening to and learning from. These folks were all geniuses :)

Jazz in all forms is quite nice :) Especially enjoy David Sanbourne's sax :D

I've shied away from pop/rock in recent years even though that's the only stuff I can pick out on guitar :o

If it's heartfelt it's music, you can tell :)

This is what I love and why I started this thread.

I'd like to thank everyone for their posts as well. I've been treated to quite a bit of new music and can't wait to hear what else lies on the horizon.

Thanks for the LTE vid. That was great!

I've been listening to lots of Sabaton, Wintersun, Ensiferum, After Forever, and Zandelle lately... Power metal FTW!
