ImageI think this whole album is probably Elton Johns best work as a whole album goes . This album came out when he was a musician instead of a showman . Dan

Absolutely, Dan. I think I might have posted Rick Derringer's version here a couple/few years back.

Listened to several early Taake albums yesterday, anyone into Darkthrone should definitely check them out cuz the similarities are uncanny.

Thanks for that Jim. That song always cheers me up. I remember listening to that as a kid on an AM "transistor" radio and it sounded good.

Moving up to the middle-late 70's . I saw these guys in concert a couple times. It was like a Las Vegas show with dancing girls, motorcycles on stage, all sorts of stuff. I loved it. :) The sound from those synthesizers vibrated me off my chair !

👍🏼 Haven't heard The Tubes since the early 80's.
They weren't really my style, but WPOD is still cool.

Not really mine either but it was a spectacle in it's time. I had never seen anything like it as a teenager in rural Ohio. :thinking

No Lou Reed collection is complete without this live album . I generally prefer studio work but some live albums capture the intensity of artists very well . Dan
