I listen to Car Radio, am/fm stations.

Like Oldies, and Talk Radio.

Sadly Rush is gone, listened to him since KFBK DAYS, in Sacramento.

Not sure if this was before or after the Monkeys version.

OK Boomer, no one cares here anyways. :)

Maybe a little Grand Funk ( after they dropped the "Railroad" part per agreement with the legal department of Grand Trunk Railroad) .

I like it. Granted when I first started listening to music, it was the oldies station, early-mid 80's. So they were still playing mid 50s thru all 60's. Early 70's would be slipped in here and there too. I've always loved The Kinks:

I lived near Flint and still never got to see them. What a shame!

Seems like you have been to some pretty good concerts. I never saw another large concert after leaving for the Army . I have been to some smaller events. They are more fun now I'm old though my brother ( even older than me) still goes to the big ones. Somewhere I gave up the ability to be comfortable in huge crowds.

Found an old hard drive I used during the late 90's to mid 2000's. Ripped 20gb of music off it to my phone. Been a nostalgia trip.

Saw these guys in a venue with room for about 20 people standing. Their drummer at the time looked about 14 years old. He was passed out in a recliner when we showed up. Woke up ten minutes before they went on and fucking crushed it.
For some reason that video didn't show up for me until I restarted my phone today...odd. Pretty good stuff though!! Great time for music as a teenager for me. Not familiar with these guys, but I liked it. Fast, heavy, technical always grab my attention

my favorite band, explosions in the sky, produced some music for big bend national park last year. i'm finally getting around to listening to it. it's not my favorite music of theirs, but i love just about everything they do and big bend holds a special place in my heart because it was my last guys trip with good friends before i moved away from texas years ago. we camped at chisos, which is why i shared this track.

here's a bonus shot i took from right outside of the campsite.

Just saw this while backreading a bit...I love explosions in the sky since The Earth is not a Cold Dead Place and "your hand in mine" many many years ago! Sadly, I haven't kept up with their latest releases. Will have to check them out again.

Btw, did you also shoot the milky way? I love shooting astro shots too!

their newer albums are a bit of a departure, having a little more electronic presence, but it's still good.

i did take this picture. it's not my favorite from that location, but i posted it because i took it at the chisos mountains campsite in big bend and the song title is chisos. i started getting into astrophotography because i have a very busy life and the only time i have to shoot is at night after everyone else is asleep in my house. i have a small collection of milky way and star trails shots.

Well, this song is something else. It's an experience. The way it changes from something with a bit of rage to absolute beauty about halfway through the song. I've never heard anything quite like it. I love the video as well, it's like going through someone's family photo album or something. A unique masterpiece.

I love how there's skateboarding involved in the video, as that was a MAJOR part of my life as a kid from 11-18 years old. The latter part of the song really brings back those memories with my neighborhood friends. Skateboarding around the neighborhood, bombing the couple hills with a nice summer breeze at dusk without a care in the world...besides who's house we were going to that night to play Golden Eye 007 on Nintendo 64. Who's room were we going to cram 4 boys in and play on a 20" screen TV. Such a great time of life, something I'd give up a lot to just go back to and experience again, if only for a day.

Yeah their current sound doesn't seem to have the post-prog vibe that made me love their first few albums, but it's still good. I used to shoot a few Milky Way shots too, but the lens I used (Samyang/Rokinon 14mm 2.8) got terribly scratched during a landscape shoot gone wrong. Just brought a new ultrawide angle lens but have yet to schedule an astrophotography shoot with the holidays and all.

On topic, this song from the 90s just has a feel good vibe to it that's mostly missing nowadays.
