Re: What are you listening to?
Still killing it Jim! I'm getting to the point I'm looking forward to seeing what you bring out next and I look daily.
I liked this lineup best. Bibi Vogel ( the one on the right) was only with the band long enough to cut the song and get photographed for the album cover before getting replaced. In fact she was the second, and there were two after her. She along with Michele Phillips ( Mamas and the Papas) were the first two women I really lusted after as a kid. They sure weren't the last though.
Lani Hall ( the one on the left) was pretty too in a way. Big voice for such a small woman.

I’m honored that you are enjoying some of my choices, Joe!
Great song by Sergio Mendes!

Currently listening to"long as I can see the light" by Creedence
Re: What are you listening to?
I always thought Nancy Wilson (the sister on guitar) was hot, but she was smokin' hot in this video. Here, from certain angles, she almost has a *slight* facial resemblance to my big 80s celebrity crush, Susanna Hoffs, only a slightly taller, more physically aggressive, blonde version.

History of the Catholic Church. A Great Courses lecture series. I just finished the one on Beethoven's Symphonies.

All this talk about concerts and music has been a great memory lane for me . If this album doesn’t give you a bit of swagger , you are dead ! Dan

I'm really dating myself posting this song. I literally haven't heard it in about 52 years, since around 1st grade.

It's funny how nostalgia for past decades works. It seems to go in 20-year cycles. Back in the 1970s, there was a big nostalgia for the '50s. Then in the '80s, it was nostalgia for the '60s and the Vietnam era. In the '90s, it was nostalgia for the '70s. And so on and so on. Maybe because the people who grew up in a certain decade missed their youth 20 years later, and by then had worked themselves into positions of influence in the entertainment industry to resurrect the music (or retro-style music) and other things they grew up with or around.

My pleasure, Dan. IMO, the Doobies were at their best in the early to mid-'70s.
