I hadn’t heard this since 1975, when it played on the radio, and the first Jaws movie was in its original run in theaters. It sounds REALLY dated now, and probably wouldn’t make much sense to anyone who isn’t familiar with the ‘70s songs from that year.

Love Jim Croce. He died way too early. Right when he was breaking through. I truly think had he survived another 20 years. He would have made it into Elvis/Beatles status of fame.

Heard some great news this morning that Mark Hoppus, the former front man of Blink 182's cancer is now in remission! He was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphoma a few months back and I've been following his journey closely. Hearing this news put me in a great mood, as this band and particularly this album "Dude Ranch" was a major part of my life back in the late 90's and early 2000's when I was having a difficult time transitioning from being with all my friends in high school, to going away to college with nobody besides the guys I played football with at school to connect with. Had some great times, some dark times and was kicked off the team, but this album always helped me through!

This could arguably be my favorite album of all time, when I really think about it. Not a song I don't like, not a word a don't know, even all these years later. Been a wonderful morning playing it through it's entirety while getting some work done.

It's also the last Blink 182 album in my eyes, that stayed true to the punk scene, before they turned more into "pop/punk"

This song here is just a fun song with Star Wars references.

Reminds me of the 70's. Driving around and trying to stay out of sight of the police. They were like road bandits. They would pull us over and steal everything we had. :cheap-sunglasses

Good song!

And for some reason, your post reminded me a little of this song, even though the situation is different (almost the opposite, in fact).

I bet this is wonderful, I've been following him since his early days with Nirvana. All these years I've never read or seen anything bad about the guy.

I'm only a few chapters into it but so far it's pretty good. It's been mostly about his childhood at this point but he's starting to get into how he go into music which is interesting. I didn't know he had a Chicago connection and used to spend time in Evanston. Kind of cool.

I'm a reader and usually don't like listening to audio books because I don't like to have the characters or narrator's voice forced on me. I like to form my own in my mind as I read. I bought the e-book to read and then I learned that David Grohl actually narrated the audio book and I decided to buy and listen instead. My girl's a bit of rocker and started listening too. She's farther into it and she says she really likes it.

I thought I was the only one to listen to David & David lol. My friend's band covered Aint So Easy back in the late 80's. I bought Boomtown around that time and I've listened ever since. I have a ton of music on a SD card and often use the SD card reader in my car. I listened to Boomtown on my way home from work last week
