This isn't my usual REALLY heavy stuff, but came across this song/video earlier tonight while working out...gotta be honest, I've never had a video get me in the feels before. Got me a little glossy eyed, especially that last minute or so. Powerful stuff, good for these guys!! Took them 5 years to get back on stage.

Third movement of Beethoven's Ninth symphony.
This particular movement was described by Whittaker Chambers as "the moment at which Beethoven finally passed beyond the sufferings of his life on earth and reached for the hand of God"

Re: What are you listening to?
Still working my way through Beethoven's symphonies. Such a wealth of musical beauty and magnificence.
I've been listening to the actual symphonies in conjunction with the Teaching Company's lecture series on the same. I'll listen to a given symphony at least 4 or 5 times before starting the lectures about it.
Seeing as each symphony is anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour long, and there are 32 lectures in the course, each 45 minutes, it's a long term learning project. But a very enjoyable one.
I just finished the lectures on Beethoven's 3rd symphony, the Eroica, and I'm ready to move on to the 4th.

I'm listening to anything but the news...
He's not really a new artist, but I recently "discovered" Billy Strings. This is a few years old, but it's a great concert.

Re: What are you listening to?
This evening, I was listening to Beethoven's 1st symphony (in an effort to maintain a peaceful, tranquil mind) while disassembling and reassembling my Guardian Tactical OTF trying to figure out why the action had become so sluggish.
After a few interesting incidents - like having one of the miniscule springs go rocketing across the room, and stabbing myself in the thumb - I finally figured out the problem on the third try: Never oil an OTF. Cleaned up, it's glassy smooth once again.
