Yeah it's usually 2 days for me on the east coast. Assuming you don't live in canada (and the product you ordered was in stock) I would absolutely think you should have the knife by Saturday.
My last order took 7 days to get to Texas. I'm thinking that something I ordered wasn't in stock, but the site said it was. No biggie. Most of the time its like 2-3 days.

It seems that generally items are in stock unless otherwise noted.
With newer items or items that had previously been on back order, Jeff will note that with a "New and in stock" or "New shipment in stock" designation, such as with the Squeak (new) and the G10 Dragonfly (back in stock).
Items that have been in his inventory on a regular basis or for some time seem have no stock status designation.
Back orders are marked simply as such or with a "Spyderco expects more soon."
I just placed my first order with them 2 days ago. It shipped the next day (I placed my order like around 11:30pm so that's darn good). I should have it tomorrow it looks like.

I've only ever placed one order with Jeff (one of many still to come I hope!) and being it Canada it obviously took a while to get here, but I received my shipping notice within 24 hours of placing the order. Which is great service...especially since I ordered on a Friday!
