What to do if encountering a Mountain Lion?

Current knife of choice is the warrior or the rock salt, although I've actually been thinking about a spear of some sort. Something that could stay in a sheath until out of sight of the parking lot, then get installed on a "walking stick".

That video is impressive. In certain parts of the world, people are known to wear masks on the backs of their heads so as to confuse the would-be predatory cats (I am thinking tigers, but not sure) - wonder how that would work with mountain lions.
