And the CS one has been up for several months, i've seen it copypasted on sites like knifecenter.

Color me dumb, but I fail to see anything that looks like a hack. Advertisments in general overstate the desirability of the product being pushed, so describing features or advantages as "worth noting" is hardly surprising, much less suspicious. It may be BS, but I suspect it was written by the site owners, not a hacker based on both content, spelling, and the total absence of CaMeLcAsE.

What? Ripping on ones own products on your own site isn't surprising nor suspicious?

Not to mention that it was the exact same negative content on two separate sites, the CS homepage, and the Gerber homepage.

I think you may be mistaking the phrase "worth noting" to mean "worth NOTHING."
