Post by RIOT »

to start it off mine comes from a different forum a long time ago

ORIT = "or it gets the hose again" from silence of the lambs when buffalo bill says "its places the lotion on its skin or it gets the hoses again".

anyways after many times of losing my login or getting banned i ended up with RIOT which has the same letters as ORIT. it actually has nothing to do with rioting lol

My favorite Spyderco is the Harpy. So I combined Spyderco and Harpy to Spyharpy. It sounds really cool so I adopted it. Spyderco enthusiasts probably would figure this out but to others who don't know knives, they don't have a clue but comment that it's a neat user name.

I think I've done this one before...but here goes anyway: The Dr. comes from the fact that I have two PhD s one is Clinical Psychology the other in Social Psychiatry, The Snubnose is an old forum name from the Smith & Wesson Forum, and it kinda stuck as I have a particular love for the Snubnose Revolver....Doc :D

I used to breed Mastiffs. I stopped that, and am down to one. A 34+ inch ( at the haunches), 220 lb male with a 36 inch neck. I had to get a collar made for him as you can't buy one in the store.

His name is Finn. His picture is my avatar. We share a two bedroom townhome in Raleigh and he is spoken to like a person, and has the vocabulary of I'd guess an 8 to 10 year old. Tell him what to do and he does it. Explain things to him once and that's enough. You never tell him again as it's not needed.

My 21 year old son isn't that easy to get things done with. "The Mastiff" is Finn. Joe

My forum name comes from the line of work I'm in. I install interlocking brick, do a little soft landscaping, :) but my favourite thing to do is stonework ( stairs, retaining walls, flower beds)

The name and the original avatar that went with it were originally nose art painted on a P-47 Jug that saw service in WW II. My use of them is a holdover from my online card playing days and was one of three names I used there. When I first got into knife collecting and went to register on BladeForums, it was the only one of the three that was not already taken.

Buglerbilly = a story or novel I haven't written yet and probably never will seeing as most of it is just disconnected snapshots of different chapters.

It's been abbreviated to BUG a long time ago. Now BUG = Big Ugly Git, a term of flattery & endearment in Australia........... :D

Besides I am BIG just not ugly, at least my two Ex Wives didn't think so! :p

I'm probaly going to stop using the BUG sign-off here, somehow it doesn't look right? :o

BRIAN

I made mine up completely randomly about 10 years ago and have been useing it ever since. I think I am going to change it though, to something closer to my real name.
