Thanx to JAVA!
Just the other day, I opened my mailbox to find a peculiar but fragrant package....sent to me from our esteemed forumite Java.......the rich aroma turned out to be some of Java's fresh roasted Ethiopian Organic coffee beans with a Blue Dodo pin attached....
All I can say is that I am overwhelmed by your generous gift Java, and I am sipping and savoring a delicious cup of this most complex/fragrant brew as I type.... thanx very much my friend, I shall dedicate this Cup of Espresslam to you! :)

Back in the day when Java was workin' his claim at the semiconductor mines and livin' high on the hog as Collector 068, it would have been a real Dodo. Things have changed. The semiconductor market went south (and Far East) and now I'm just happy to help out with a few beans and the occasional Dodito!
Aye, th232. She does read double-picked with Dodo and not doodoo, as in kopi luwak, fresh from the civet cat's keister. That's a bit expensive even for java's taste and not my particular cup-a-catpooccino. :D
Just got my long awaited Monsooned Malabar Elephant beans in from India........time to roast a batch for steelman next. Cool pics and hope the joe met your expectations, Brian. I'll let you know when I get something stronger.......
J'avah u akbar!!!!

When I said that mercy stood
Within the border of the wood
I meant the lenient beast with claws
And bloody swift dispatching jaws.
Death Before Decaf! ! :spyder:

the beans that u sent me met and exceeded my sensory expectations...here's my review: low acidity, floral, medium-full bodied, complex flavor .... definitely the best coffee i've had in years.... :) that kopi luwak you mentioned sounds interesting.......but a little too "exotic"... :p
thanx again for the gift of java .... and the Dodito u sent me seems to have found a friend.... :D

Yup, Java is definitely a good guy and quite the coffee connoisseur.
I can't remember; did you start roasting your own?

Yes aerostudent..... Java has "opened my eyes" to the essence of the might arabica bean.... I enjoy soaking up any pearls of coffee wisdom in his threads... :p
No, i haven't started roasting my own....yet...but i intend on doing so....
My job situation has been a little topsy-turvy over the past 3 months....
kinda feel like i'm in a "transitional phase" of my life.....
like I might want to move to a more progressive environment to live....
Who would've thought that practicing internal medicine in the Smokies would be "a little backwards"....
ah well, at least the mountains out here are good for this..... :)
