best option si to sign up for a free image-hosting account, like Photobucket, Tinypic, etc......and upload your desktop image to that and link it within a post on this forum using the [img].................[/img] tags
or, get a better picture-downsizer, like ASmallerImage or IrfanView. it should be able to get it below 100kb
could pluck a Screenshot capture program from the web, but......
this ones' better: press PrtScr (PrintScreen button keyboard). open MS Paint, select dotted box on the left tool-side of point, paste pic in right white field of Paint, save picture as .jpg/.jpeg
This is the background on my desktop. This is a time elapsed photo of the a Peacekeeper ICBM at the Kwajalein Atoll. Each of the Peacekeeper re-entry vehicles, all eight are fired from only one Peacekeeper. Each line, were its warhead live, represents the explosive power of twenty-five Hiroshima-sized (Little Boy) weapons

I'm on a 17" flat panel but I never maximize my browser. I like to have it take up about 2/3's of my screen. It's an old habit from designing for viewing on smaller monitors. I leave room on the top and bottom and sides so I can get to other stuff too.
I'm just old school I guess. When I used to design web pages we had to stick to a strict 640 x 480 design because most people back then used to have 14" or 15" monitors running a max of 800 x 600.
I still run across websites which are poorly designed because they either don't scale properly or they assume that everyone is using 1280 x 1024 or higher.
I am old school enough to write pure HTML in Notepad or BBEdit. That's the best way I think. :) ......but that's a whole different topic. Sorry I got a bit off into left field.
