A morning without coffee is like.....sleep.

Within the border of the wood
I meant the lenient beast with claws
And bloody swift dispatching jaws.

Coffee comes in five descending flavors: Coffee, java, jamoke, joe and carbon remover. This stuff was no better than grade four.

All Right!!!! What did you guys do with Mrs. Olson  I just talked to the execs at Folgers and they are willing to pay ransom  Wouldn't her & Sal do a helluva commercial together :D

NO!! Juan Valdez is not an operative of the CIA or the MASSAD>> but he is the biggest expresso pimp on the planet.

COLUMBIAN baby!!! it's mountain grown>>> but I'll stick to Kona ;) >>gee that's funny because there are a lot of other drugs that come from Columbia too

You don't have real coffee unless there are at least a half an inch of grounds on the bottom of an old Corning Ware percolator pot.

Did you know that Coffee is the only legal drug in Church

Did you know that some people even take enemas with coffee  >> think about that the next time you go to sippin

Did you know that Caffiene in it's purest form is one of the most toxic poisons on the planet.

Have you ever noticed how totally self righteous people act who claim they don't drink coffee>> but you will see that same person break out a Lipton Tea bag shortly after they let you know how artificially righteous and politically correct they are~~~ and that same person will eat chocolate by the pounds or puff cigarettes by the dozens

The bottom line to all of this is~~ if they ( the powers that be) couldn't find an efficient way to tax the stuff it wouldn't be legal. Power & hypocrisy go together like ham & eggs>>> do you want cream or sugar

She's now Mrs. JAVA and I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't drag her name through the "mud" on this. :p

You're confused. Environmentalists still consider the Juan Valdez the worst coffee spill ever. The animals in Prince William Sound haven't been to sleep for years - citizens in Whittier are starting to complain about the all-night partying....... :D

"To a cold and hungry cowboy
In the land our fathers trod,
The juices from a coffee bean
Were like nectars from the gods"

Van N. Holyoak
Cowboy poet and singer

"Listen," I told him. "Don't be so tough so early in
the morning. I'm sure you've cut plenty of people's
throats. I haven't even had my coffee yet."

Ernest Hemingway
To Have and Have Not

"You were going to drink that cappuccino
like most men make love...........
skipping over all the foreplay."

Ally McBeal
Ally McBeal TV Show

"In many ways, Seattle is the quintessential American
city of the nineties. It's New York with clean streets,
Paris with better manners, London with better coffee.
Los Angeles with a professional football team.

John F. Kennedy, Jr.
1996 speech given to Seattle Ad Federation

"After a few months' acquaintance with European' coffee,'
one's mind weakens, and his faith with it, and he begins to
wonder if the rich beverage of home, with its clotted layer of
yellow cream on top of it, is not a mere dream after all, and a
thing which never existed."

Mark Twain
A Tramp Abroad

After Frederick the Great, King of Prussia, banned coffee, Johann Sebastian Bach wrote his Coffee Cantata in 1732. It was composed for performance by Bach's Collegium at Zimmerman's Coffee House in Leipzig, Germany between 1732 and 1734. Schlendrian rebukes his daughter Lieschen for her refusal to stop drinking coffee:
"Schlendrian: You wicked child, you disobedient girl,
Oh! when will I get my way; give up coffee!
Lieschen: Father, don't be so severe!
If I can't drink my bowl of coffee three times daily,
then in my torment I will shrivel up like a piece of roast goat.
Mm! how sweet the coffee tastes,
more delicious than a thousand kisses,
mellower than muscatel wine.
coffee, coffee I must have, and if someone wishes to give me a treat,
ah, then pour me out some coffee!

The concept behind selling all this gourmet
coffee is along the lines of super-premium ice
creams like Haagen-Dazs and Ben & Jerry's:
you may not be able to buy a yacht or that new
car or even make the mortgage payment, but
you can carry to your desk at work the best
**** cup of coffee money can buy.

Richard E. Sullivan, Jr.
"Wired; Consumed."

The lowly coffee bean---exalted into unprecedented
combinations, flavors, and espresso-based concoc-
tions---has landed in the hearts and minds of
American consumers, as law-abiding citizens show
their affection for what is undoubtedly the most
popular unregulated drug in America.

Mark Shapiro
"Muddy Waters"

"Murderers on death row can find women to
marry them. I can't even get one to sit through a
cup of coffee with me."

Frasier Crane
"Frasier" TV show

The necessity of early morning coffee to start the day
was expressed in the 1994 movie "A Million To Juan":
"If a man was meant to get up early, then
God wouldn't have had to create coffee."
