How bout ATL Rookie Bryce Elder throwing a complete game shutout!
Hasn't been done by an Atlanta rookie since 1990!
So great to see any pitcher these days pitch a complete game let alone a shutout. Glad to see it happen . Dan
No joke, Dan!
Btw, have you saw "Facing Nolan" yet?
If not, I highly recommend it!
Come to find out, Nolan Ryan, at his peak, had a fastball of 107-108 mph! & I absolutely 💯 % believe it, brother!
I have no doubt , Ryan was a tough hard nosed competitor. I always tried to see him pitch whenever I could get a chance . I will try to check it out , thank you for heads up. Dan

Cards clinched last night against a great team called the Brewers . I hope the Brews still have a shot at a wild card they deserve it . Dan

I dunno, Brewers are still a game and a half down for that last wild card spot. Not much time left.

Guess who just got back into 1st place in the N.L. East? .......at least we share 1st place with the Mets! That's right! The ATL has pulled into a tie with the Mets for the N.L. East Pennant!

Getting hot at the right time again! Losing the mustache Strider is a tough hit. They got the depth to overcome that though...

Oh, what a blow! Better believe that hurts.....
Ya know Larry, I'm under no illusion that the Braves will win the Series this season. L.A. will do that.
But, it would be so cool to see Atlanta snatch the Pennant from the Mets at the very end of the season. Which, is a big deal in itself.
Oh man, I'm so excited about the Braves v Mets Series crankin up this Friday - if it's not rained out by this Hurricane.

Definitely going to be a fun series to watch, love it when the games mean something!

So, this Aaron Judge fellow...are we going to see another triple crown? 61 homers in a year where the ball has been intentionally deadened is quite impressive!

Phillies lost again today, which puts the Brewers even with them for that last wild card spot, with Phillies owning the tiebreaker. We have the Marlins for a 4 game series starting tonight.

I hope, the Brews do well , that would probably be a Brew/Card match up if you can clinch it . Dan

Oh my goodness........Both the Braves & Mets trailing last night, both take it to extra innings & the Mets win while the Braves lose (lost to Nats)
Now, the Mets are 1 game up again........I think we've tied tye Mets a couple time but, have never taken 1st outright.
Tomorrow night will start one helluva N.L. East series!
New York @ ATL
DeGromm vs Freid
Saturday
Scherzer vs Wright
Sunday 7pm on ESPN
Bassitt vs Morton

Yeah, good point, Dan. My Uncle & I were talking about that last night. If the Mets & Braves were to finish with the same record, I'm about 99% sure the Mets have the better head to head record against us. I know they have at least 3 wins against us with Scherzer & probably as many more with DeGromm
I'll check it for sure later.

The Brewers are all but done. They have to win out and the Phillies have to lose out to get the last wild card.Ain't likely.

Oh well, I've followed The Crew since day one and always will. Looking forward to the playoffs.

No doubt. Thanks, Dan.
Of course, if ATL does wind up playing the Dodgers for the National League Championship, I'm gonna root for Freddie Freeman & the Dodgers.
I'm still not over that debacle...

My guess Cards are going to be one and done . They have struggled against all three in the East and same in the West . It would be a miracle . I like how all of you guys support your teams through the good and bad , that’s a true fan . Dan

Root, root, root for the home team.

There are some real good teams in the East and West. Should be some great October baseball. My money is on the Dodgers.

I will root for any time but the Mets , they just turned me completely off this year. I don’t care for their style of play .
