Re: Unusual, and/or Paranormal Events
A Haunted Martial Arts School?
Back in 1986, I was into my second full year living overseas in Taiwan. I was training northern-style Kung Fu at the school of the first teacher I trained under over there. The school itself was a very large basement room, with an office and a small living quarters for the teacher on one end, and a small room with two cots/beds on the other end, where two of the senior students lived and slept. Next to that room was a small room with a single cot/bed for guests.
Late one afternoon, the only students there were myself and a Chinese guy from Australia named Vince. I had a headache, and the teacher let me use the guest room to lie down. Apparently, the teacher then went out to run some errands.
When I got up maybe an hour later, Vince came up to me and said, " I saw a shadow over there," pointing to the matted corner area that was used for Sanda sparring. He looked shaken. By then it was late afternoon/early evening, and some of the students began arriving for the evening class. A small crowd began gathering around, as Vince told them in Mandarin what he saw. One student, a Japanese from Kobe who was attending university in Taiwan, said (in Mandarin), "I knew it...I knew it. One day I was practicing alone, and little pebbles were being thrown at me, but nobody else was here."
Vince had called what he saw a shadow, but what he described was what people nowadays commonly refer to as a shadow being or shadow figure. Vince was a large, "he-man" type who was a good fighter, and he was normally very calm and level-headed. So it was interesting to see him so shaken up.
One of the live-in students told me that sometimes when he was trying to sleep, he heard someone mumbling in his ear, but it was unintelligible.
When the teacher returned and heard what was being talked about, he became angry and told everyone to shut up about it. Vince told him about the shadow, and the teacher said (in his heavily Shandong-accented Mandarin), "Nonsense! Impossible! I have the Guan Gong statue on the altar!"
Guan Gong (also called Guan Yu or Guandi) is the Chinese God of war, and his statue placed on an altar is believed by many to keep evil spirits away.
Of course, the teacher had a valid reason to want people to shut up about it. If word got out that his school was haunted, it could have potentially hurt his school's reputation, and therefore, his livelihood. So everyone stopped discussing it.
Interestingly, I never experienced anything paranormal in that school myself, and I trained there for years. Sometimes in the mid-afternoon when nobody else was there. I've had many paranormal experiences throughout my life, but never in that school. But I do believe the ones who claimed to have had experiences there, because there were at least three different people. Who knows how many others might have, and just never talked about it.

"He Had Tentacles in His Neck"
This is another true, vetted story, narrated by Dark Waters (James Williams). Even though DW vetted it, and he uses a very thorough process in vetting his witnesses and their stories for authenticity, this one is pretty "out there." Nevertheless, I keep an open mind, because there are MANY strange and even bizarre things out there. If the account really is truthful as the witness experienced it, and if they weren't on something or hallucinating, then it was some type of negative paranormal entity.

Man is Shown Our True Connection to Nature During NDE (Near-Death Experience)
The part where he discusses seeing fairies isn't as far-fetched to me as it might be to most people. Earlier in this thread, I mentioned my late dad saying that he saw fairies on occasion, and my mom, a skeptic, never believed him ... until she saw some herself for a brief second, dancing in a circle around him. My dad never called them fairies, but referred to them as "the little people," or "the children." But he described them to me one day, and their description matched the classical idea of fae, or faeries/fairies. They were very diminutive, with dragonfly wings, and were accompanied by a man-sized one that always stood off in the background, and never interacted with him like the little ones did. Although in actuality, most descriptions of fairies in centuries past did not involve them having wings. Anyway, from what I gather, there are countless types of fairies, elementals, etc., and they are not physical beings; or at least not physical in the way we understand it.
Years later, a Native American mentor of mine mentioned that she used to see fairies as a little girl on the reservation, and her description of them was almost identical to that given by my dad, and they never met each other. That's posted somewhere in this thread.

Bizarre ‘White Samurai’ Silhouette Manifests in Austin, Texas Bamboo Stand
This is a strange account. If what this guy saw really did manifest in the form of a samurai, it seems to me that the entity may have been able to access his thoughts/read his mind, and take that form. The guy does state that he “was really into Japan at the time.” Otherwise, it makes no sense that a “ghost of a samurai” would appear to him in a Texas bamboo stand, especially if he doesn’t own any Japanese relics from the samurai era. Many paranormal entities can read people’s energy fields (thus accessing their thoughts) and manifest in a form that will amaze, terrify, or perplex the observer the most. There have even been some instances where two people witnessed a single paranormal entity at the same time, but it appeared to each person in completely different forms.
This may sound like a load of BS to most people, but when you’ve had various types of paranormal experiences throughout your life, it isn’t so far-fetched. There are MANY things out there that we have little to no understanding of. In fact, I’ll go out on a limb and say that there are NO true “experts” on the subject of the paranormal, and/or cryptid creatures, only some who are more knowledgeable and experienced (or open to more possibilities) than others.

The Elk's Head Was Twisted Around...Dead!
(Video below)
I find it a bit annoying that the father in the first story was so angry and skeptical about his son's account, yet he wouldn't go and get his frightened son's fishing pole himself.
A healthy degree of skepticism is one thing. But something I've personally seen more than a few times in life, is that people who are rigidly and cynically skeptical of anything just because they themselves don't believe in it, or because they haven't experienced it themselves, tend to become absolutely traumatized if and when they themselves do experience something they cannot explain or deny. Often their hard, 'tough guy' exterior is an attempt to mask their own insecurities around something that may be beyond their ability to explain or control. When they are faced with undeniable experience of something unknown and unclassified, that hard exterior often cracks or shatters like a piece of over-tempered steel. So there are many people who would rather be skeptical to the point of anger or ridicule about something, and proclaim that it doesn't exist, without even making a serious attempt (or any attempt at all) to find out if it really does or not. Because finding out the truth might cause more of a paradigm shift than they're prepared to handle.

Skinwalker Ranch - Final Episode Review, by David Paulides
*Video Below*
David Paulides discusses the final episode (or the season finale) of 'The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch.'
The reason I'm posting this is because from about 16:35, Mr. Paulides begins discussing what he calls "the hitchhiker effect." Meaning that, in some instances, when a person witnesses an unusual being (in this case, he's talking about Bigfoot), that being ends up following the witness back home, or to places where seeing such a creature should be totally implausible.
These types of reports are not unique to some Bigfoot experiencers. Similar reports have come from people who have encountered UFOs, Dogman creatures, etc. If not followed by the same creature, then the witness begins seeing other, similar creatures, often hundreds of miles, or even states away, from their original encounter, when the majority of people never have even one encounter. With totally nonphysical entity encounters, this is called a "spirit attachment." In terms of this happening following cryptid creature encounters, it's as if the witness is somehow energetically "marked" by the creature, which can then follow the witness, if it chooses to do so; or makes the witness more prone to other cryptid or paranormal encounters.
In the cases Paulides briefly discusses (and I've read of many even more dramatic such occurrences), they imply that cryptid creatures like Bigfoot are FAR MORE than simply unknown species of apes, or (in the case of "Dogmen," which are not discussed here), unknown species of canines. That even though they can definitely be physical manifestations, there is also a paranormal element, and a much higher intelligence to them.
