That's bittersweet news, Nick.
Gosh, I LOVED watching Gronk play. But, I can't blame him one bit for hangin up his cleats.
If there were ever a better TE ( and, I love Jason Witten) then I don't know about it. Gronk was clutch and was an integral part in that Patriot Dynasty. The greatest Dynasty of them all.

I bet if the Buccaneers make the playoffs Gronk will magically unretire.

I'm sure yall have heard by now, The Goose has passed away. He was only 55.
Man, I loved watch Tony Siragusa play and he was really funny off the field.
Makes me remember just how dominant that Baltimore defense was when they won the Super Bowl with Siragusa.
RIP big guy.

Very sad news indeed. He cracked me up as a sideline reporter. Poor Ravens lost 2 members of their family yesterday, that's tough.

Well, well, well, Arch Manning committed to The University of Texas!
Hook Em Horns!!
......that was surprising! I had him figured for Ole Miss or quite possibly Tennessee.
I was really hoping he would commit to Tennessee.
He's gonna be fun to watch gang. Future N.F.L. QB - with Royal Lineage.

I was pretty shocked he went with Texas, I didn't think they were strongly in the running. Good for them!

Ya know, I think I can see why he went with Texas.
They're a very wealthy University- not as wealthy as Texas A&M - at least I don't think so but, it's very nice program they have and it's gonna be a lot easier to get National Exposure ( like he really needs it, lol) but, it will be easier for him to win more games, pad his stats and make it to Playoffs. It's not like he's gonna be in the SEC. Although, both Texas & OU will join the SEC in 2025.

Texas has way more money than A&M. I think they wanted Arch to be in a premier market with all eyes on him. (Like Mac said above)

Hehehe....you might wanna look at that...... A&M has an endowment of 10.52 Billion making it the Wealthiest Public University in the Nation and 6th overall behind Princeton I believe...
A man told me a long time ago that Texas A&M was absolutely loaded.....

Hehehe......I can see ole Matthew McConaughey when Arch committed to Texas,......alright,alright,alright!!!
I see a National Championship coming for the Longhorns. They definitely have the talent in Texas. It's like Florida & Georgia - just a lot of talent to choose from. It can definitely happen imo.

Man that Vince Young team was so much fun to watch, especially when they kicked USC’s butt in the championship. Pete Carroll was chewing a lot of gum that game lol

That was one of the best Natl Chmp games ever
I was really happy for Mack Brown & Texas.
Ya know that got me to thinking about Friday Night Lights, the TV Series. Mack Brown did a cameo.
I believe they filmed in Austin too.
I really liked that show.

Probably the very best sports TV show ever.
Seriously, it's awesome. I think you would really enjoy it .....If you ever have time, check it out.
It's the most realistic you'll ever see and the last two seasons are my favorite but, the first 3 are are super good as well.
