Ya know Mac, I have no experience at all with 6.5 Creedmoor. I do know however that I love the factory break on both my 805 ps1 Brens. That's really the only reason I was thinking about putting a break on the Bren 2 Ms. Now, a friend of mine on another forum bought a linear muzzle break. They're supposed to push the noise in front of the barrel away from you.
I'm kinda lookin at a PWS CQB Compensator. Says they're gaining popularity with SBR's and the same principle as pushing noise forward as opposed to the side. Gonna be a while as I'm broke now lol. Didn't expect to win this Bren 2 for what I bid on it.
Evidently Talos Tactical didn't expect it go for $1,300 either. The 8" Bren they have now is a minimum bid of $1,699 now. Anyways, the PWS CQB is out of stock.

Beautiful gun.

I have more guns than I want to mention, but I still consider myself a bit of a novice. My dad taught me to shoot when I was a kid. Then at around ten years old, I took some gun safety classes and my parents set me loose to the New Mexico irrigation channels with a .22 and single shot .410. As obsessed as I have been over knives and flashlights, it never carried over to guns. I have a few slots that I keep filled with different types. I never was a hunter in particular or in law enforcement, so maybe that is it.

Anyways, I feel safer knowing that people like you guys carry. An armed society is a polite society.

My most recent purchase was a Sig Sauer Romeo 5 and Juliet 3 Micro. I have them mounted on my latest gun purchase S&W 15-22. i can't wait to go out and sight them in.
Thanks Sok
I'm a novice as well man.
I also couldn't agree more about an armed society.
I could not imagine not having that right.

I put a muzzle brake on my new 6.5 Creedmoor.
Without bothering to shoot it, I took it off again
because I read that they make a rifle louder
and stuff may blow back in your face.
Anyone have any experience in that regard?
Still have not gotten around to shooting the 6.5CM.
Different tools for different things. Is your 6.5 a bolt gun or a semi?

I personally don't have any real use for a brake on a bolt gun, because I'm not firing fast enough for it to matter. In general, I find brakes can be great for faster splits, but for most real world applications they aren't particularly useful. And they can be fairly unpleasant to shoot with on some guns.

It's a bolt gun, Tom, a Ruger American Predator.
Thanks for the input. Makes good sense.

I should also say Mac, that I've never had anything blow back in my face with a muzzle break. Even with those 11.5" Brens. But, lol, they are louder than ****.

I picked up a Ruger Security 9 the other day. I've always liked Rugers, wanted a S9 when I bought my Stoeger but the only place that had one wanted $600. Now I have one and can't be more pleased. Can't wait to go and shoot it. Got my holster the other day, and it's an easy carry. Ordered a couple extra magazines (17 rounders), couple more boxes of JHPs, and am trying to plan another day to go shooting soon.

Will be fun to roll up to the range with 3 firearms...I need a bigger range bag...LOL

That is a very intimidating rig.
It does not leave room for an alibi.

Sorry I just noticed the question at the end of your reply.
It’s chambered for 3 inch.
The top rail with fiber optic ghost rings, mag tube extension and muzzle brake can be removed in s matter of 60 seconds and it becomes a very compact bush, pack gun.
