HA! Yeaaaaa, I was definitely joking on that one! Been a while since you've done the 5 gallon bucket challenge! That's a great one, such a wild idea to come up with. ESPECIALLY with a folder. Wow!! I did not expect you to do that with a Shiro! No fear in you, I can admit that I wouldn't have done it haha. How did it go? The cut looks great, so does the knife. The Meat man wrote: ↑Thu Jan 20, 2022 5:12 pmWell you made me do it.TkoK83Spy wrote: ↑Thu Jan 20, 2022 12:46 pmHA! Yeaaaaa, I was definitely joking on that one! Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
Actually it's not too bad. I basically push cut through from the top down, using both hands - one holding the knife and the other pressing down on the top of the blade. I've done it with a Delica, and this Shiro is built way stronger than that.TkoK83Spy wrote: ↑Thu Jan 20, 2022 5:50 pmWow!! I did not expect you to do that with a Shiro! Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
Hah, yeah I fell into the CRK rabbit hole pretty deep the first quarter of 2021.. I'm holding steady at 4 now and happy where I am though haha. My next CRK will be the Umnumzaan, whenever I manage to find one.. they continue to be pretty difficult to locate hahah!
Agree 100%.. Abba's pics are amazing and always appreciated by me! That Blackout Inkosi is $%@#$ sweet!

have you had a spydiechef? if so, are these worth it over them? and does the mod void the crk warranty?

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
Yes I had a pre-cqi Spydiechef. I wouldn't pay today's prices for one. A Spydiechef isn't really comparable to a CRK, IMO. The Swayback is more similar to a CRK. Yes the mod voids the warranty but I don't use warranties. I really prefer the spydie hole to a thumbstud. If you are going to get a CRK I recommend a large sebenza 31 with inlays, not PJ. Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
well, the spydiechef is probably the closest i'll ever get to a crk. i just can't justify the cost for a single knife. maybe someday, but i don't see ever spending more than i spent on the chef for a folding knife.SG89 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 9:46 pmYes I had a pre-cqi Spydiechef.
