Military and law enforcement have valid reasons for wanting added capacity and quick reloads.
The average citizen, especially someone who lives rural like I do, can sort out most problems with 5-6 rounds.

I'd like to think my situation also but as long as there is a possibility I want other options.Military and law enforcement have valid reasons for wanting added capacity and quick reloads.

It is a nice pistol but truthfully it is still too big for in the pocket carry.shunsui wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 12:59 amA friend of mine carries a Sig 365 9mm.
I've had a chance to handle it and it is pretty nice.
If you want a small gun for EDC, you should look into it.
Lots of extras and options available: grips, mags, sights, manual safety, etc.

Big pockets and baggy pants.
And a seriously stiff belt. I own a loft full of industrial sewing machines, so I tend to build and modify things for myself. I wear cargo pants and load my EDC stuff into the pockets. My wife says they must weigh 20 pounds. I haven't actually weighed them to find out though.
I'd agree. I've owned one and while it would technically fit in some pockets it isn't what I'd consider a pocketgun. Guns like that, shields and glock 43's need a belt holster for me.Doc Dan wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 8:16 amIt is a nice pistol but truthfully it is still too big for in the pocket carry.shunsui wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 12:59 amA friend of mine carries a Sig 365 9mm.

You must have some BIG pockets. I have a Glock 23 and there is no way it's riding in my pocket. I also have the Sig p365 and although I could manage to carry it in my pocket, I do agree that it is a little big for pocket carry.

Regarding .38spl +P ammo, while I agree with Jim, I'd just note that the same caveat about using it in older guns also applies to +P and other "hot" loads in other calibers as well.
Statistically you are so incredibly unlikely to ever fire a gun in self defense. If one is just going off of statistics then one would be good carrying an unloaded gun (we have no way to quantify in any kind of remotely reliable way times when the presence of gun was sufficient).
I have carried that .38 I presented earlier in my pants pocket. It’s just much more comfortable tucked inside the waist band.
