I'm a little surprised they didn't add a little something like the pouch or a gold spider, different clip, etc.. Just to make it a little more unique.

Dude, I know that feeling... The G-10 civvies were given a great treatment in that zippered pouch! <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle> It'll cost ya $16.95 to purchase the pouch alone...

The CF Civilian is a bargain. Without the zippered pouch it is still a bargain. (Oh, btw, it is also one of the best knives made by Spyderco). Nonetheless, I contacted Susan as Sal suggested here and received nothing but excellent service. I was informed by email today that a zippered pouch is on its way to me by 2nd day air. What a company! Absolutely the Best. I couldn't believe it but it's true. Thank you very much Sal, Susan and Spyderco.

I cannot see how Spyderco is making any money on this limited run knife. So to show my loyalty and support I will go out and buy more Spyderco knives to keep them profitable and ensure their longevity. Way to go Sal and Spyderco!

I too must add that the service from Sal, Patti, Susan, and all at Spyderco has been excellent. How many of us would have waited for the knives to ship while more pouches were ordered? Spyderco very quickly corrected the problem AND got the knives out the door as fast as possible. While many companies might have simply forgot about the pouches, Spyderco knows that not only "Integrity is being good even if no one is watching" but that it is also important to respond to your customers. We wanted pouches and they promised delivery of them very quickly. Sal said that in the rush to get the product to customers a letter explaining that the pouches were to follow was left out in error. I'm happy with that explanation. I have my knives and soon the pouches as well.

:o(, I also want the zipped pouch (Sal u guys can send me the CF Civie with it,lol) J/K, I just got my G10 Civie few days back, what a beut, altho I reckon for that function Id take the Matriarch over the civilian,so much lighter and since its tip up carry and the blade is just that bit shorter I can get it out and open far quicker.

Still love my civie though
