If you could only have 4 knives

#1

Post by J Smith »

This might be a fun thread.

If you could only have 4 knives to cover all areas of the knife world ,what would they be.

1.High end,or dress folder

2.EDC or heavy use floder

3.Fixed blade

4.Slip joint

For me they would be

1.Sm Sebenza

2.Spyderco Militery PE

3.Busse BAE

4.Case Canoe

From my current collection:
1. Spyderco JD Smith, for its elegant lines, smooth micarta finish, and light weight. Exceeeeeeeedingly sharp, out of the box.
2. CUDA Dominator
3. Anza PK4 - sharp, stout, and tough
4. Victorinox Officer Suisse, a long-time favorite.

Thoughts on the future:
1. William Henry Spearpoint with Mokume bolsters and Black Palm Scales.
2. Large Classic Sebenza.
3. Nkonka CPM-3V Integral.
4. Victorinox Officer Suisse - I've not paid much attention to slip joint knives, yet.

As I've contemplated this topic, I've noticed that I could purchase 1 - 3 of the "future" collection within my knife expenditures of the last year. Not that I regret purchasing the knives I now have.
