Thanks,I would like to see others too.The materials for this one was 2 carved bone beads with the hole enlarged by a dremel,2mm round brown leather and 2 small metal barrels on the ends. The leather was very tight going through the barrels but that makes it very hard for them to slip off.

Jeff I really like the lanyard you have there. Any chance you could post that pic again about how to tie the ball knot. I can't remember what thread it was in. I am sure you were the one with the pic(I hope)I'll try and get a pic up of my Kiwi with suede pouch and lanyard tonight or tomorrow. Take Care.

Wasn't me.That Ball knot drives me nuts. The last time I tried to tie one I did a Goggle search for monkies fist knot and got some good instuctions but still could not get it tied.

Nice lanyard Jeff, I don't think you overdid it at all. Funny thing, I've been playing around with lanyards for Kiwis myself this weekend. In response to Ken's request, will post a pic of them. And for CKE, think this is the ball knot pic you're looking for. The darn thing drove me nuts till someone suggested using a die in the middle of it. That never sounds right, but crap sounds even worse, not often you use the singular of dice.

About the monkey fist knot. Remember that you need to put something in the knot. A small wooden ball, marble, pebble or something. The diameter of the ball should be slightly less then 3 times the diameter of the rope.

Hey Decon I have seen green stone beads that would go nice with that Santa Fe Kiwi.
Ted,that monkeies fist looks like the one I have.<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Hey Jeff, it also looks like the one I have!!
Just to cut you all short.... there is only one expert on Monkey fist knots and that is Ted!
He did a worlshop with me and it turned out to become a knife talk and handle event. Only at about midnight Ted rememered the that we would tie knots and he did one for me and I attempted to do one but his was much better. I firmly believe that he does them with his eyes closed. He is truly a master and jolly nice guy too!
Clipits work!

I got the 2 mm round leather and the carved bone beads at a Michels craft store.
