Java picks his jaw up from off the key board and gently realigns it with the rest of his stunned face murmuring.....No way! Did I just read that right?!???

Java's fingers fairly fly over the key board all the while humming "E-Mails away, my b....er...Anchors Aweigh my boys
Anchors Aweigh
Farewell to college joys
We sail at break of day day day day
Through our last night on shore
Drink to the foam
Until we meet once more
Here’s wishing you a happy voyage home!"

It's not just a Forum it's an adventure....

First off, I'm glad to see you back my friend. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

As for my <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> carry;

Right now, it's my newly acquired FRN Delica PE(ATS-55) that I picked up a couple of days ago at the gun show for only $27!!

This is, of course, until I receive my new SS Cricket SE from Mike at <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Warranty and Repair. <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Survive, Adapt, and Overcome...

Allen, it is good to see you posting again! I just returned from dinner with my father-in-law in a "safe" part of town, so I packed light: CE Gunting and well, uh, er, a Strider HS Karambit fixed blade. At least Strider sounds something like Spyder. <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Tonight, on duty, PE Gunting on the duty belt, Ronin on a neck chain, Civilian in a hip pocket, Rescue in an emergency bag, and well, uh, er, an Emerson Kerambit in the LFP. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Welcome back Allen <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> I only carry two: a SE VG-10 Delica (but you know already that <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>), and a Calypso jr. PE IWB. Oh, and a Ladybug attached to the keys. <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Right now...delica on waist band of surf shorts. Ya shoulda seen one time I tried the same carry spot with my CRKT Casper!LOL! I want to try SPOT carry...maybe soon, God willing.
When I was mall security, I was experimenting the Snap It on break away chain, with Snap It right behind my tie...that was interesting. but then I went back to carrying Endura on waist band hidden by my radio, or SSPE Harpy in front of waistband hidden by glove pouch. Regardless, I ALWAYS have a Spyder on me.
ALOHA!

God will put you over...if you let Him!

Of late it seems I've been carrying a lot of Spyderco. Usually it's just the Gunting but for a while now I've also been carrying a Chinook (in concealex belt sheath), a G10 Police and a Navigator IWB.

Today it's the good old Aluminum PE Cricket, together with an Arc LSL-S flashlight.

Java & Travis :

Army, Navy, Air Force & Marines!!! I don't give a **** what branch, servitude to the
U.S. was our game! <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Sadly the words of
Henry the V in Shakespeare's play are succinct as to that same servitude :

"...and then he will strip his sleeve, and
show his scars, and say : "these are the wounds I had on Crispin's day" Old men forget, yet all shall be forgot. But he will
remember with advantages the things he did
that day...we few, we happy few We band of
brothers..for he today that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother!"

Old men DO forget...( not necessarily related
to Alzheimer's disease ) about the sacrifices...

Verdun ( 1916 )

Pearl Harbor ( December 7th 1941 )
( OBTW alot of Navy & Navy Air Force perished in that massacre <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>)

Bastogne ( 1944 )
( 101st Airborne saved the day <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>)

Viet Nam ( 1964-1975 )
( NOT a popular war, and it took the American
people ALOT of time to at the VERY least honor the men ( and women ) that gave their lives and came back missing parts of their bodies <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>) Also, try the POW/MIA's on for size. <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

I could go on and on about Guadal canal, the stand took at that island which name escapes me, but the commander surrendered to save the
civilian employees of Uncle Sam ( all 93 of them were killed by the Japanese <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>) and the
struggles in Europe & the middle east.

Point is ( with MUCH pun intended <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>) the
branches fight amongst one another and use
disparaging terms ( dogface, zoomie, jarhead,
swabbie, etc. ) but ultimately we oft pay
"the price" ( as we said in the infantry ).
The price being death.

Something to think about.

Three: SS Cricket PE in pocket, SE Native LFWB, PE Vesuvius RFWB

The wife banned me from wearing the Gunting in holster while my out-laws are in town. Going stealth.
